The robot vacuum isn't too scared to climb the stairs, unlike others. Like any mop or vacuum it is susceptible to clogging by particles, like tennis shoes, play jewelry, thread or other loose objects.

Its vacuuming is done by a special bin that can hold up to 60 days worth of debris that iRobot claims reduces the amount of dust released into the air during the process. The i5+ is equipped with dual multi-surface rubber brush and Power-Lifting suction that can tackle dust and dirt, pet hair, and staining. Simply swap the Mopping Bin with a compatible cleaning product and you're ready to mop.

The i5+ runs iRobot OS and becomes smarter the more you use it. It creates a Smart Map, which remembers the names of rooms and your preferences for cleaning. The iRobot App allows you to create a schedule or instruct the robot to clean a specific room.

iRobot is able to recognize household clutter like bags, shoes cords, toys and other items. It will then stop and return to the docking station, giving it time to recharge and complete the cleaning task later. It is voice-compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri, and understands around 600 voice commands. This is more than any other 2-in-1 robot.

iRobot Combo j5

This robotic mop and vacuum from iRobot is ideal for homes with hard or carpeted floors. It utilizes smart mapping to remove obstacles and efficiently clean. It has a variety of mopping options such as the SmartScrub system to remove tough staining. It also allows you to set No Mop Zones so carpets don't get swept up. The dock can refill the mopping fluid automatically. This model is more expensive than the earlier Roomba Combo J7+ but comes with more features.

Its patent-pending Mopping Drive System applies a pressure to the floor, which allows for a deeper clean. It also removes tough stains. It can also reach under furniture and in tight spaces to provide an efficient clean. The Combo J5+ can be used with the iRobot Clean Base to automatically remove dirt.

It uses Smart Mapping to navigate your home seven times faster than before5 and pinpoint rooms with 90 95% accuracy6. It can also create a map of your whole home, allowing you to clean everywhere you want after just one run. It also detects and avoids objects like cords, backpacks, pet toys, litter boxes and shoes, socks and many more to ensure that you are free of clutter. You can plan cleaning schedules in your home and control your robot remotely via the iRobot App.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 has been upgraded from the original Roomba i3. It has the same great external dirt compartment as well as an HEPA filter to keep allergens out However, it now supports smart mapping.
