It's Time To Upgrade Your Irobot Vacuum Options
iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review

In contrast to some robot vacuums this one isn't afraid of taking on the stairs. Like any mop or vacuum it is prone to clogging due to particles, like tennis shoes, play jewelry, thread or other loose objects.

The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms, and create no-go zones. It also lets you keep track of the progress of your mops and their battery status.

iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo J7+ is a part of iRobot's robot vacuum and mop lineup that combines the robot cleaner's smart mapping capabilities with its ability to handle spills. It uses the same onboard acoustic sensors and iAdapt 2.0 navigation that are used in other Roomba options and maps your home seven times faster than previous models. It also allows you to create Keep out Zones (for rooms which the robot should not enter) and Clean Zones (for rooms it should clean).

The most significant feature of the j7 is its robotic arm which keeps the mop pad tucked away when not in use, and then lowers it to clean carpets or hard floors. The idea is to not spray water on the rug and the Combo J7+ did well at this during my tests. The robot did not try to cross the rug, even after I moved it around several times.

The arm comes with a 240mL tank, which can be easily removed and filled. This makes it more convenient to use than the mop pads found on many other 2-in-1 robotic arm. It also uses iRobot's PrevisionVision obstacle avoidance technology, which is more advanced than some systems of this type.

iRobot Combo i5

The machine is designed to be used for both vacuuming and mopping with the same machine it is a great choice for multitaskers. The mopping is accomplished with a specialised bin which can hold up to 60 days of dust. According to iRobot it reduces the amount dust released into the air. The i5+ also features dual multi-surface rubber brushes as well as Power-Lifting Suction that can tackle dirt, dust pet hair, and staining on floors. When it's time to mop, simply swap in the Mopping Bin and a compatible cleaning solution.

The i5+ runs iRobot OS and is smarter as you use it. It creates a Smart Map, which remembers the names of rooms and your preferences for cleaning. You can then instruct it to clean your room or set a schedule for a whole level of your home through the iRobot app.

iRobot has built in the ability to recognise household clutter like cords, shoes, toys and bags. It will then stop and return to the docking station, allowing it to recharge and finish the cleaning task later. It is also voice-compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Google Assistant, understanding around 600 voice commands, which is more than any competing 2-in-1 robot.

iRobot Combo j5

This robotic vacuum and mop from iRobot is a good choice for homes that have carpets and hard floors. It makes use of intelligent mapping and avoids obstacles to clean efficiently. It also comes with multiple mopping modes that include the powerful SmartScrub system that can help clean tough stains. It also allows you to establish No Mop Zones so carpets don't get swept up. The dock can refill the mopping fluid in a timely manner. This model is more expensive than the previous Roomba Combo j7+, however, it comes with more features.

Its patent-pending Mopping Drive System applies pressure to the floor to provide more thorough cleaning and eliminates tough staining. It also can reach under furniture and in tight spaces to give an effective clean. The Combo j5+ is also compatible with the iRobot Clean Base for automatic dirt removal.

It makes use of Smart Mapping to navigate your home seven times faster than before5 and identify rooms with 90 95% accuracy6. It can even create a map of your whole home, so it can clean up any area you like after just one trip. It also recognizes and avoids items like backpacks, cords pet toys, litter boxes socks, shoes, and more to make cleaning easier. With the iRobot app you can schedule your home's cleanings and control your robot from any place.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 has been upgraded from the original Roomba i3. It has the same fantastic dirt compartment on the outside and an HEPA filter to trap allergens However, it now supports smart mapping. You can now designate no-go zones to stop the vacuum from cleaning the same areas repeatedly. The i3 Plus has a lot of other fantastic features, like its advanced cleaning system and a power-lifting 10x vacuum. It also comes with a three-stage cleaning procedure. It also features a textured exterior to protect against fingerprints, dust and hairs of pets.

It cleans most debris and is a great choice for unfinished flooring, but did experience issues with pet hair when used on low-pile carpets. It is quieter and does a great job on carpets with a high pile. The i3 costs a little more than the Roborock S4 Max, but it comes with a self-emptying system that cleans the mop pads and refills the water reservoir.

With the i3 application, you can make schedules to clean at a time that suits your requirements. You can also control your robot with your voice assistant to start or stop cleaning. It can also track the unique layout of your home to offer a customized cleaning routine and scheduling. It uses state-of-the-art mapping sensors to navigate hardwood and carpet, and learns your routine to optimize performance.

iRobot Combo i2

The Combo i2 robot vacuum and mop is the most recent product from iRobot. It integrates iRobot's advanced floor cleaning technology to make it a perfect choice for homes with hard floors and carpets or rugs. The Combo i2 uses a combo system that can switch between mopping and vacuuming with the click of a button. It also comes with iRobot's advanced navigation technology. Its PrevisionVision navigation system is better than the average and will avoid obstacles - like power cords and stairways.

automatic vacuum cleaner remembers your rooms and your cleaning preferences. It can even tell if it's in a room that requires special attention, such as the living room or kitchen. It also has the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System that automatically cleans up dust for up to 60 days.

The dual multi-surface brush is a excellent feature of the Combo i2. They clean deeper than standard mops, taking dirt from edges and corners. The acoustic sensor of the robot allows this. The Combo i2 also offers powerful suction and an intelligent design. It can be controlled using the iRobot App, voice assistants and an programmable calendar.

iRobot Combo i1

The Combo i1 is one of the few robot vacuums that can mop. When the unit is aware that a surface must be cleaned, it lifts and swivels underneath it using an arm that is equipped with an edging pad for cleaning. The back has a dustbin and a water tank which can be removed to supply cleaning solution. The robot is equipped with the Bona cleaning product, however it can also be used with other brands.

Unlike most robot vacuums, the Combo i1 can retract its mophead completely to the top of the robot when it spots carpet. It is able to vacuum the carpet, then wipe it clean using its microfiber cloths. This will ensure that all surfaces are clean. It is equipped with a range of sensors and a dazzling navigation system to help it avoid obstacles like cords and furniture.

It also comes with an upgraded battery to last longer and a self-emptying mode that reduces the frequency of emptying the trash bin. It's an excellent choice for households that are looking for the convenience of a single robot with the versatility of different cleaning modes. It can be controlled with an audio command using Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant-enabled devices. It can even be scheduled to stop and start whenever you go to and from.

iRobot Combo i4

This iRobot robot vacuum and mop is great for those who want a clean house without having to lift a finger. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can use voice commands to control it. It also comes with smart mapping technology, meaning you can set up a schedule for the robot to follow.

It features a slim-profile docking station that doesn't occupy any space. It also has an emptyable dirt compartment. The compartment is made of opaque plastic, so you don't get a glimpse of the contents. The i4 is also lacking features like the AI-powered obstacle-avoidance and keep-out zones found on the j7 and the j7+.

It does, however, come with a powerful vacuum system and brushes made of rubber that don't get caught in pet hair. It's an excellent choice for homes that have high-pile carpets because it can handle more dirt and debris than less powerful vacuums. The i4 requires less maintenance, has lower recurring costs, and runs longer in the lowest suction mode.
