The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.

It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will get better with future models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is even better because its spinning pads clean your floors more efficiently than the vibrating pads.

The only downside is that it lacks a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you want one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles even when you have maximum dirt.

As for mop robot vacuum mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or watch television without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and then move away whenever it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something needs attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you can want. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
