The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
During tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is in place it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. We like the claim but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable cost to pay if want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.
In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.
What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the hidden bin and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.
You can also create or merge rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a new sensor system that better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.
Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, so you can use it even if you're not home. on the main page has a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping robot. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types, and it's one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. But while these functions are nice to have, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel is an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4% of debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. The mops are also efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the floor or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
