The Q Revo is a fantastic option if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the push of the button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your area to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well on both bare floors and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those on higher-end models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you want one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to remove the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without distraction. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away whenever it comes across one.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right, such as a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create or combine rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be cleaned out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can also remove wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you could need. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty it when needed.

Lastly lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, so you can control it even when you're away from home. It also comes with more mopping modes and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a specific route.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features that you do not often find on robots at this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are nice to have however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury which could make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving around the house. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with children or pets.


The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain.
