The Eufy Robot Vacuum Review
Eufy robot vacuums are famous for their ease of use. Its eufy RoboVac 30C model is Wi-Fi-enabled and comes with an remote control that allows for easy use via the app. It also comes with boundary strips and a 100-minute battery life.
Its Boost IQ technology allows you to move from tile and wood to carpeting with a low-pile and area rug without a hitch. Other standard features include obstacle detection and drop detection that allow it to avoid hitting walls and furniture.
Boost IQ Technology
The Eufy robotic vacuum line comes with a variety of models. However certain features are common to all models. Boost IQ is one of these features, which allows your robot to move effortlessly from hard flooring to medium to low pile carpeting and area rug. It will automatically increase its suction power when it comes across a certain surface type to ensure that you get the most effective cleaning possible.
Another feature that is useful is the ability to change between various cleaning modes. This includes Quick Clean, which is great for a 30-minute fast sweep of the floor, Auto, which will operate in an open space without switching modes, Edge, which will concentrate on your walls and corners, and Spot that is best when there's a small space that needs extra attention such as spilled baking soda.
Of course, the eufy robot also comes with basic features like obstacle and drop detection, as well as a self-emptying base. Drop Source Webpage and obstacle detection is a common feature on all robots since it stops them from bumping into walls or furniture, while the latter keeps them from falling down stairs or into other areas which could pose danger.
A number of the eufy robots also have a variety LED indicators that can communicate with you, just like a digital watch. A solid green indicates that the robot is in standby or charging mode, while blue indicates that it's active and working and a solid red indicates that your eufy is low on power and must return to its base.
The RoboVac 11S by Eufy is a highly rated model that's a good fit for those looking for a powerful robot vacuum with an extended run time, including its ability to reach the most remote corners of your home. Its slim design fits under furniture or in tight spaces. It also comes with a scratch-resistant, tempered glass cover. There's also a physical remote control and smart sensors to help navigate, and a variety of cleaning modes. It lacks some of the more advanced features of other models, like digital maps or apps-based controls.
Powerful Suction
A powerful suction rate of 2,000 pounds makes this vacuum ideal for picking up food chunks cereal crumbs, food particles and other dust or debris on hard floors and carpets with a low-to-medium pile. It also collects pet hair and other allergens from upholstered furniture. A rotating side-brush helps to get into corners and along baseboards, while the rolling brush pulls dirt and other debris that sticks to surfaces.
The 25C is connected to Wi-Fi and can be controlled via an app on your smartphone or via voice when connected to a smart home speaker like an Amazon Echo or Google Assistant. It also comes with a small charging station that can hold the vacuum cleaner while not in use.
All eufy robotic vacuums come with many standard features. They include drop and obstacle detection, which keeps it from crashing into objects or falling down stairs. Some models, like the eufy RoboVac 11S and its re-engineered eufy RoboVac 30C MAX also come with advanced navigation systems that build and keep the virtual floor map so that it knows where to go (and which areas to stay clear of) each time it cleans.
You can tailor the cleaning cycle, set specific areas for the robot vacuum to avoid using the app or Alexa-compatible voice control. You can also cordon off areas that are sensitive, like the ones that contain toys for your children or console tables. This eufy model also comes with a pair of bounding strips that allow you block off larger areas.
The RoboVac 11S Max is one of our most efficient robotic vacuums, earning the top marks for navigation and cleaning. Its design is pared-back with one button at the top to turn it on and an on/off switch beneath for a continuous shut-off, as well as a tempered glass surface, ten infrared sensors to keep away from obstacles, and a 0.15-gallons of 0.6-liter dust bin. The re-engineered navigation system comes with iPath laser scanning technology, which creates and stores the floor map. The system then uses this information to swiftly navigate to every part of your home and ensure that it covers every square inch of your floor.
Convenient App Control
Eufy's models have sophisticated features that let you control your device remotely. This allows you to schedule cleaning times, define virtual boundaries that block your robot from entering certain areas (such as rooms full of electrical cords) and set the'return to base' feature. Some even let you draw a the map of your home and mark areas where you'd like to clean.
The top of the line vacuum cleaners made by eufy have a navigation system called "smart mapping" that scans your home and builds a map it refers to each time it cleans. This allows the vacuum cleaner to seamlessly move between floors that are unfinished and area rugs, and back to the beginning, without missing one step.
The RoboVac 25C is a great example of this model. It comes with three distinct suction power modes you can choose from its app companion: Standard as well as 'Turbo' which enhances the performance of the machine for cleaning bare floors and 'Max' which is specifically designed for high-pile carpeting.
The vacuum's battery life is also excellent. It can run in its default "Standard" mode for up to 100 mins. The vacuum also features an inbuilt battery indicator that blinks blue when the vacuum is charging, then turns orange when it's low in power, and then changes to blue once it's fully charged.
Another feature that is cool is the "Spot Cleaning mode, which lets you force the vacuum to concentrate on a tiny localized area by pressing a button at its base. This is a great way to remove pet hair or crumbs out of tight corners or under furniture, which is where a traditional upright vacuum would struggle.
The elegant RoboVac also does an admirable job of removing pet hair from different flooring types, but it may require several more passes to remove stubborn patches of hair in low- and high-pile carpeting. Like most robotic cleaners, it's not as effective in removing hair from crevices and cracks like it is on bare floors however, it does an overall excellent job of removing pet hair from both carpeted and un-floored surfaces.
100 Minutes of Cleaning
The robot vacuum's suction can clean for an impressive 100 minutes, then automatically return to its charging base. It's capable of working across several floors and comes with a powerful suction that can pick up everything from chunks of cereal to glitter specks in a matter of minutes. It comes with a tough brush roll as well as a side brush that helps it reach corners and crevices that other robots may not be able to reach.
The battery-powered robovac works on carpets and hard floors and can be activated via the remote control that comes with it or by using your smartphone or smart home assistant to transmit commands via Wi-Fi. You can also alter Boost IQ which can optimize the suction power based on the floor type on which the vac is working.
Like other eufy robots, the G30 Edge is designed to work around your home, with only minimal setup. It takes only a few minutes to attach the edge brushes rotating in a circular motion and connect to your home's Wi-Fi. Once connected and you're able to use the app to create a cleaning schedule and voice commands using the compatible smart speaker.
Many eufy robots offer this level of customization, which allows you to select the specific areas that you want to focus it on and the times you'd like it to clean. The app allows you to define virtual boundaries that stop the robot from entering areas where there could be electrical cords, or other obstacles.
Some eufy products include an intuitive map, which uses a combination sensors to determine the positions of walls and furniture. It then creates a route to cover the area. Some models employ a more advanced navigational system known as iPath. In these cases the robotic vacuum uses an algorithm to create an iPath path, and then follows it until the desired area is covered. The robot returns to its dock and is charged and waits for its next scheduled cleaning.
Other models of eufy's robotic vacuums do not have this level of intelligence. The entry-level models, which are generally the most expensive in the range do not have a digital mapping system instead, they chart a random zig-zag path every time they begin a cleaning session. Although this can be frustrating but the eufy robot cleaner is always able to cover the same areas. It also rarely fails to cover corners or other difficult to access areas.
