Day 1
Already had an "I already know everything" attitude (not only me noticed - I was approached by more than 1 person)
Was already on the desk when I arrived at 1930 - The 1st thing out if his mouth was "I don't want any help"
I let him stay on desk, instead of taking over, letting him know if he had any questions that I was right there. His response was, "Nope, I'm good, I don't need help.
When I did find things that he had done incorrectly, I would let him know what he did, how we do it here, and why. He always got offended. Ex: cartfill, FDs to ED. Among many others.

CFQD - I explained that I don't send the QD through the tubes until 0700, that way both night and day shift are there and there can't be any confusion as to who received and where it is.
I noticed that he was still sending them as he saw fit.

Instead of helping with already dispensed items labels he would jump on queue and dispense items himself. (I didn't say anything the 1st several days)

Anytime I would realize that he had done something different than we do here I would mention it, and he would get defensive.


Last Monday, I had dispensed multiple doses to PACU, SSOU because I knew from that morning that the same requesting RN with the same patient would request up to 10 medications for multiple patients the following morning. Instead of putting both in the same bag, I printed 2 labels to be able to scan 2 labels to show both PM and AM doses were sent, labels were missing and I verbally mentioned that labels were missing ... He took offense to that, and I wasn't even blaming him.

I sent a chat to Jen to help me ask him to stay out of the queue and explained to her that I had already tried talking to him about other things and how he would take offense to it. She told me basically to handle it myself.

Later that evening he was back in the queue, there were 3 eye drops there that I had already sent to the ED, then to PACU, and now a unit was requesting. Before I had a chance to start researching - he dispensed them. I don't remember exactly what I said but it was something g along the lines of where did the eye drops that were in the queue go, and that it was the 3rd time they had been dispensed. That's when he said do you not want me in the queue? I said I prefer you not, I had already sent those 2x..it helps cut down on redispenses.
That's when Jen started with, "we just need to have a meeting for night shift " " we need to ha e a meeting so everyone knows what's expected ".

Honestly I felt like I was being chastised.

Later Erin said that he's mad because he feels like he is doing all the work that no one else wanted to do, and basically telling me everything I was doing g was wrong, Jen started again with having a meeting, Erin refused to listen to anything g I just previously stated and made me feel as if I was wrong about everything. I tried showing the N3 workflow, concentrating on the 1st bullet, where it says " Help with desk with pulling narcs and all tasks" Nothing specific about the queue.... to her that included the queue. She continued on with "I've worked with him for 5 years, and how great he is"

It felt like there was a large amount of favoritism being shown towards Terrence. Especially when she said that's not how Alex runs desk, he lets Terrence do whatever he wants. He just sends the meds he never questions if they red request meds..

Today there was excess extension in the pharmacy. No one ever said a word to me, except when an RN called and questioned Erin about a narc that was sent and not wanted.

I overheard Erin talking about how she was going to deal with the caddiness anymore, that she was over it.

He hasn't helped with any desk duties at all since Monday.

A profit was racial ended for 4HH, sat on the counter as usual for the runner , he saw it and asked Aids if it needed ran, instead of me, then left it. Instead of thinking of patient, would rather leave it sitting there I stayed of talking g to me.
