Dedalu raksasa biasa disebut The Whomping Willows ini adalah salah satu spesies dari tumbuhan ajaib yg sangat hebat dan tentunya sangat langka. Dedalu raksasa ini bisa menyerang siapapun dan apapun yg terjangkau oleh cabang-cabangnya.
Kata orang, pohon Dedalu Raksasa ini sudah ditanam lama sekali sejak papanya Harry Potter bersekolah, tujuan ditanamnya pohon ini adalah untuk menutupi jalan rahasia dari Hogwarts ke Shrieking Shake di desa Hogsmeade. Aku tidak tau pasti kenapa harus ada jalan rahasia disana, soalnya aku tidak hidup dijaman itu.
Pohon Dedalu Raksasa memang terkenal ganas dan menyeramkan, tapi katanya pohon ini bisa dijinakkan. Ada dua cara menjinakkan pohon raksasa itu, cara pertama dengan menekan simpul-simpul tertentu dipohon itu, lalu cara kedua dengan menggunakan mantra Immobulus. Aku sendiri belum pernah main-main disana soalnya aku takut, orang-orang selalu bilang pohon itu berbahaya, ada juga yg bilang mematikan, makanya aku tak pernah mau bermain disana, bahkan meskipun aku tau cara menjinakkannya, aku tidak berani kesana.
Begitulah yg aku ketahui tentang pohon Dedalu Raksasa ini, tak banyak memang, namun kuharap cukup untuk tugas ini.
