Why We Love Best Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum (And You Should Also!)
Best Self-Expelling Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

We recommend getting a robot mop and a vacuum that comes with a user-friendly base station. This allows you to wash or replace cleaning pads, as well as empty and clean the soiled water tank.

Also, think about a model that is connected to Wi-Fi so you can set automated/set run times and map your home and utilize mop/vacuum switching features.

1. Roborock S7 Max Ultra

This powerful robot vacuum and mop is a true workhorse. It cleans floors, detects rugs and automatically empties its own water and dustbin tanks. It also has powerful suction and even dispensing detergent. However, all this functionality comes at a hefty price of $1200. It's the highest-priced robot vacuum and mop set I've ever reviewed.

The S7 Max Ultra is easy to install right out from the box. Once you plug it into the wall, it will ask you to map your home using sensors. It will continue to use that information to avoid obstacles. In our tests it did not get stuck on power cords, long curtains and even dog toys. It's not perfect, however, and occasionally ran into things like tangled wires, the odd book or toy.

The S7 Max Ultra can be operated via its smartphone app. This is where you can find all the sophisticated features which set it apart from other robot vacuums and mops. There are room-specific cleaning settings and mopping options, a schedule planner and power strength options for mopping and vacuuming. You can also integrate the S7 Max Ultra with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to create a smart home. The S7 Max Ultra's vast feature set allows it to perform all the things a standard robot would do, but at a fraction the cost.

The S7 Max Ultra's vacuuming is impressive and it did a very excellent job of removing dirt, pet hair, and other debris from carpet and hard floors. The automatic dustbin emptying feature was flawless during our tests. This was very comforting. It also boasts 5100 Pa HyperForce power, which is significantly higher than the 2,500Pa of S6MaxV and S7.

The S7 Max Ultra's mopping capabilities was also good, though not the most impressive we've seen. It used an exclusive microfiber mop pad, which absorbs liquids and uses sonic vibration technology to scrub your floors up to 3,000 times per minute, which was a bit faster than the X1 Omni's circular pads that spin at a speed of 180 revolutions per minute. The S7 Max Ultra’s ReactiveAI 2.0 obstruction recognition system is very good. During self empty robot vacuum mop , it never got stuck on anything and stayed clear of power cords, curtains and other obstructions that could be a problem all the time.

2. Narwal Freo

Vaccuming and mopping your floors is one of those chores that everyone dreads but is necessary for maintaining a clean home. It's also a messy, and often unpleasant task that can be a challenge to accomplish since it requires cleaning up the dustbins and water, and ensuring that debris or hair doesn't clog the brushes or traps. Robots that vacuum and mop are now very popular. However, many of these products still require users to manually empty the dust bin, wash and rinse mop pads. This can be a hassle particularly if you need to repeat this process several times in between cleaning sessions. We're pleased to learn that certain manufacturers are introducing self-emptying robots to make this process much more simple.

The Narwal Freo, the newest version of the robotic cleaners is equipped with a variety of enhancements in sensors, software, and hardware that are designed to keep it on top of its game. The trademarked DirtSense Technology and Smart-Swing feature both work to better identify the floor that is being cleaned, and alter the cleaning mode based on the floor type. The Freo also measures dirtiness and automatically cleans mops when they are full. This improves the effectiveness of subsequent cleaning sessions because it doesn't return to soiled areas.

Another major improvement that the Freo has over its predecessor is the capability to direct control it using an LCD touchscreen on its base station, in addition to using the app for smartphones. This is the first robot vacuum and mop to have this feature. It's a great feature if you don't want to use the app. You can even adjust the routing during the session by using the LCD screen controls.

The Narwal Freo is also quiet when in suction mode with the noise level being just 63dB. The Freo's maintenance isn't entirely hands-free, however. It is necessary to clean the primary brush roll and the side brushes frequently.

3. Ecovacs Deebot t9+

The Ecovacs Deebot T9+ is available at The Good Guys (for $1279) and is among the most advanced self-emptying robotic mop and vacuum combos. It is capable of mapping the area of your home, vacuuming and mopping, as well as detecting and avoid obstacles. It can even release an air freshener.

The app generates a map of your home that can be used to clean. It's simple to install. You can then use the app to select specific rooms or areas to clean. You can also choose the time you want it to begin cleaning so that your floors get cleaned even when you're asleep or away.

In our tests, we observed the T9+ to be exceptionally adept in navigating around obstacles. However, it did have the tendency to take slightly manic routes around the house, which usually resulted in it ending returning to the exact place it had started cleaning a few minutes earlier. This wasn't a lot of times but it was noticeable enough to be noticed, and is worth taking note of.

The T9+ comes with a full range of accessories, including the robotic cleaner and docking station and an auto-empty station. The mopping unit and an additional dust bin are available separately.

Its upgraded navigation systems mapping, obstacle detection and mapping are designed to guarantee a clean clean of your home without interruptions. The new 3D obstacle avoidance and detection technology recognises objects with precision to avoid collisions, entanglements or disturbances.

The Deebot T9+ can sweep mop, vacuum and sweep at the same time. Your floor will appear as good as it was when you first purchased it. The disposable mopping pads are simple to use, and the microfiber fabric effectively captures dust, locks away stains, and doesn't leave any residue. The large 2.5L auto-empty stations can store up to 30 days worth of trash without leaking. This makes it simple to keep the home clean with the least effort. The T9+ also comes with an upgraded 3000Pa vacuum motor that provides powerful suction for a more efficient clean.

4. iRobot Combo j7+

The iRobot Combo j7+ is a great robot to clean floors. It's a mop and vacuum, all in one, and it comes with excellent obstacle avoidance and home navigation. It can help you map your home and clean areas, without damaging furniture or walls. It's also simple to make use of the app to define zones that need to be cleaned or those you would like to avoid, as well as establish specific no-mop and no-sweep areas.

IRobot's iAdapt 2.0 technology is a major element of what makes the Combo j7+ so smart. The front camera of the majority of the robots from iRobot is used to prevent dangers like pet waste and power cords. iAdapt 2.0 also allows the Combo j7+ robot to identify dirt levels, and focus more on the areas.

When the Combo j7+ is aware that it's on a surface that requires mopping and a small robot arm equipped with a mop pad lifts up from beneath the vacuum. It then mops the floor until it detects that mopping pads are dry which is only about 90 seconds.

The Combo J7+ can sense carpeting as well, which is ideal for homes that have a mix of hard flooring and carpets. It won't attempt to push the rug across it, but instead will pull away if it feels it is unable to cross the space without damaging the carpet or damaging itself.

I was able to control the Combo j7+ from the mobile application, which is user-friendly and well-designed. It is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa which means you can start cleaning with voice. The only downside was the tiny water tank of the Combo J7+, which means that you must refill it regularly or limit the mopping to smaller areas and run it more often in eco-mode.

The Combo J7+ has an extremely small dust bin which you have to empty manually. I also found the Combo j7+'s mop pads to be less effective than those of other brands and that's a shame as it's a great combination robot.
