11 Strategies To Completely Block Your Best Robot Vacuum And Mop Self-Empty
Best Robot Vacuum and Mop With Self-Empting Bases

Self-emptying bases make the robot vacuum worth the price, especially for those who have large homes. This means you don't need to empty the bin more than once per run. It keeps your floors cleaner and runs more frequently.

self emptying vacuum does an excellent job of mapping and you can also use the app to set zones and cleaning schedules. It doesn't omit objects like furniture legs or shoes as well as the Q Revo and j7.

1. iRobot Combo J7+

The Combo J7+ is iRobot's first robot mop and vacuum. The Combo J7+ is the top-quality iRobot j7 robot vacuum and adds a water reservoir as well as a robotic arm that raises and lowered mopping mats, as well as new sensors. The result is a highly capable two-in one cleaner that we found superior to mopping-free robotic vacuums.

The Combo J7+ doesn't come with the features for smart mopping that our top pick has however, it effectively cleans. It comes with a powerful brush roll which works well on both hard floors and carpeted areas. It can get in between furniture and rugs without issue, even on steep stairs. And it has a strong suction that we were very impressed with, even though it's not as powerful as the iRobot Roomba 694's.

What is what sets the Combo J7+ apart from other robot vacuums is a mopping feature that makes use of an incredibly small rotating brush to scrub the floor. iRobot calls it SmartScrub and it operates by moving back and forth, similar to the way you scrub your floor with mop. It can be enabled for each room of the house within the iRobot app.

Like other iRobot robots the j7 Plus is easy to setup and use. It's also simple to maintain. The water tank and the dust bin are both removable, which means they're simple to clean. The iRobot App lets you watch instructional videos that demonstrate how to maintain the various parts of the machine. For instance replacing the mopping pad, or filtering the water tank.

The only downside is that you can mop using the iRobot Combo if your mopping pad is attached and the 210 ml tank is filled. If either of those is missing, it vacuums. The iRobot App lets you monitor the water tank and receive alerts when it's low.

2. Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is a solid budget-friendly robot that's ideal for mopping and vacuuming. Its mopping performance is impressive, especially considering the cost. It can be used to mop hard floors and carpets, picking up fine to extra-large debris (think: hair tangles, cereal, kitty litter of various sizes). It is also great at cleaning up dried spills, messes and staining. It also cleans stairs and easy-to get-stuck places well.

The mopping system makes use of a rotating pad to scrub floors with water and lift dirt and grime, including on stuck-on spots. The pad is also thoroughly dried with 45 minutes of warm air following each cleaning, preventing the growth of mold and unpleasant odors. You can easily control the robot using the Roborock application or use your voice to get your mopping started change settings, and more.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also top-of-the-line. It comes with a powerful vacuum and a high-efficiency filter that captures all types of debris from fine to large. The only downside is that it doesn't perform as well against pet hair on carpet. After two cleaning sessions at maximum power, 10% of pet hair was left on the test surface. This is not unheard of.

The Q Revo is a top-quality product, thanks to its superior navigation and obstacles avoidance. It also has great mopping and cleaning capabilities. It's not quite as good as a higher-end robot vacuum and mop however it's a great option for anyone on a budget. Plus, it charges up to 30% more than the previous models and is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri Shortcuts. This is a lot of convenience for a small amount of money. Read our full review of the Roborock Q Revo to get more information and to determine whether it's a good fit for you.

3. Yeedi Cube

The Yeedi Cube vacuum/mop robot is very affordable and offers numerous great features. Setup is a breeze and only took about five minutes. After removing the protective tape and plastic, you can scan the QR code on the app to start. The app is simple and guides you through the process in a simple manner. Once it is set up, you are able to begin mapping and cleaning.

The app lets you customize your home's layout and design maps that the robot can follow. The app can also divide rooms into smaller parts to better cater to your requirements. For example, you can create a map for the kitchen, and another one for the living area, allowing the robot to sweep the floors in each room at different times.

The Yeedi Cube is unique compared to other robots I've tested. It is an industrial design. Its base station has a more modular design than other robots, featuring the tank for dirty water and an auto-empty feature on one side and the vacuum on the other. The mop pads that are reusable are also a separate feature. They are inserted into the top of robot and are attached to a handle at the front, making it easy to remove and refill.

The vacuum is as efficient as any robot I've ever examined, and it comes with two side brushes as opposed to the single brush on most models. This expands the vacuum's coverage area, and reduces the likelihood of debris being lost behind walls and furniture. However, it does have some issues with the detection of objects and a tendency to run full speed into objects, such as a tassel rug in my office.

4. iRobot Braava Jet m6

The iRobot Braava Jet m6 is a powerful robot mop that can do its job well and keeps your floors looking great regularly. It's not able to perform the vacuuming work of other hybrids on this list and doesn't transition onto rugs or carpet like they can, but it comes with a long battery life and smart mopping features. It is a good option for keeping your floors clean in a small or mid-sized house.

It can be used in dry sweeping mode too, cleaning up to 1,000 square feet at one charge. It can also map your floor plan using the iRobot App and clean rooms in sequence with compatible Roomba vacuums.

In wet mopping, the m6 makes use of precise sprays to dilut the floors in straight lines. It was fascinating to watch, and it was able to eliminate even the most stubborn dried-in coffee stains and juice staining my floors. It is possible to set it up to use less water or greater than the maximum amount allowed by the app.

The iRobot app is one of the best available and makes syncing to your home wifi easy. It's packed with user-friendly features such as scheduling, room partitioning and creating no-go zones that allow you complete control over the machine. It also allows you to see the remaining battery power so that you get an accurate estimate of how much time it's left before having to be docked and recharged. The m6 can be purchased at My Robot Centre for PS499 in the UK, at the iRobot Store in the US for $399 and on Amazon (where the m6 is currently on sale). It comes in white and graphite.

5. Shark RV2610WA

The price of robotic vacuum and mop cleaners is an problem. They are easy to use, but expensive. The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 robotic vacuum and mop with XLHEPA Self-Empty base, which we reviewed, retails at $699 / PS559 or approximately 1,054 AUD. Forgo the charging base and you'll still have to spend $549 or PS395 / around $675 in Australia.

The Shark RV2610WA is a great choice for those who require a versatile robot that can tackle both mopping and vacuuming. It can deep clean stains that are difficult to remove using the stain-lifting device included in the box. The app lets you program the machine to clean at a certain time and date. It also has an intelligent feature that allows you to control your robot even when you're away.

In terms of vacuuming, the Shark performs well and can pick up most debris, but it's not as impressive on carpets. It's not difficult for pet hair to be caught in the brushroll and its dirt bin can quickly fill up. It also has a number of parts that need regular maintenance and replacement, which can add up to recurring costs over time.

There are better options available on the market. The iRobot Combo J7 Plus offers superior performance on bare floors and carpets with a high pile. It's built better and has a bigger dust bin and can move over obstacles like electrical cords with ease. The iRobot cleaner is more expensive, but it's is worth it if you need an all-purpose vacuum that can do both tasks with ease.
