Best Robot Vacuum and Mop With Self-Empting Bases
A self-emptying base makes the value of a robot vacuum especially for those who live in large houses. This means that you don't have to empty the bin more than once every time you run. It makes your floors more clean and it runs more often.
The app allows you to create zones and clean schedules. It doesn't omit objects like furniture legs or shoes, as well as the Q Revo and J7.
1. iRobot Combo J7+
The Combo J7+ is iRobot's first robot mop and vacuum. It takes the excellent iRobot J7 robotic vacuum, and adds a small reservoir of water, a robotic arm that can raise and lower a mopping pad, and some new sensors. The result is a powerful two-in-one cleaner, which we found superior to mopping-free robotic vacuums.
The Combo J7+ does not have the additional smart mopping features found in our top choice, but it does a great job of cleaning. It has a powerful brush roll that works well on both hard floors and carpeted rooms. It can be able to get between furniture and rugs without issue, even on steep stairs. It has a powerful suction that we found to be impressive, even though it's not as powerful as the Roomba's 694 from iRobot.
The Combo J7+ is distinguished from other robot vacuums because of mopping, which uses an oscillating brush to scrub the floors. SmartScrub is what iRobot refers to, and it mimics the way a mop would scrub floors. The iRobot App allows you to enable it on a per-room basis.
Like other iRobot robots The j7 Plus is incredibly simple to setup and use. It's also easy to maintain. The dust bin as well as the water tank can be removed for easy cleaning. The iRobot App allows you to watch instructional videos on how to maintain the different elements of the machine. For example, replacing the mopping pad, or filtering the water tank.
The only drawback is that the iRobot Combo J7+ only mops if it has mopping pads attached and its 210ml water tank is full. It will only vacuum when one of these are not present. You can easily monitor the tank's water level via the iRobot app, and when it gets low you'll get an email to refill it.
2. Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is a low-cost robot that does a fantastic job vacuuming and mopping. The mopping efficiency, especially when compared to its cost, is quite impressive. It is able to mop well on hard floors and carpets and picks up fine to large particles (think hair tangles, cereal, kitty litter of various sizes). It also does a great job at cleaning up dried spills and messes. It also cleans stairs and other difficult-to-get-stuck places well.
The mopping system utilizes a rotating pad to scrub your floors using water, which lifts dirt and grime, including on stuck-on spots. The pad is also dried thoroughly by 45 minutes of warm air following every cleaning to prevent the growth of unpleasant odors and mold. You can easily control the robot via the Roborock application or use your voice to get your mopping started, change settings, and much more.
Its vacuuming performance is top-notch and the suction is also top-quality. It has a powerful vacuum and a high-efficiency filter which captures all types of debris, from small to large. The only issue is that it's not as effective on carpets that have pet hair. After two vacuuming sessions at maximum power, 10% of pet hair was still on the surface. This isn't unheard of.
The Q Revo is a top-quality product, thanks to its superior navigation and obstacle avoidance. It also has great mopping and cleaning capabilities. It's not as effective as a higher-end robot vacuum or mop however, it's a great option for anyone on a budget. It also charges up to 30% quicker than the previous models and works with Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri Shortcuts. That's a lot of convenience for a tiny amount of money. For more information and to determine whether the RoborockQ Revo is the right choice for you, read our complete review.
3. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube vacuum/mop robot is extremely affordable and has many great features. The set-up was simple and took only five minutes. After removing the manufacturing tape and protective plastic scanning the QR code in the app starts you off. The app is simple and walks you through the process with ease. Once it is set up, the Cube is ready to start mapping and cleaning.
The app lets you to create maps and modify the layout of your home. The app also lets you divide rooms into smaller parts to better cater to your needs. You can draw a kitchen map and another for the living room. The robot will then sweep the floors at different times in each room.
As compared to robot self emptying vacuum 've tested in the past, the Yeedi Cube has a unique design that gives it an industrial look. Its base station features more modularity than other robots, with the dirty-water tank and autoempty feature on one side and the vacuum on another. The mop pad, which is reusable, is also a separate piece, fitting into the top of the robot and affixed to a handle at the front for easy removal and refilling.
The vacuum is as effective as any robot I've ever examined, and it comes with two brushes on the sides instead of the single brush on most models. This expands the coverage of the vacuum and makes it less likely to lose debris on furniture and walls. It has some issues with object recognition and is more likely to get into objects like the carpet in my office.
4. iRobot Braava Jet m6
The iRobot Braava Jet m6 is a powerful robot mop that can do its job well and keeps your hard floors looking good on a regular basis. It cannot vacuum like the other hybrids, and it is unable to move from hard flooring to carpets or rugs. However, due to its long battery life and smart mopping features, this robot is an ideal choice for small and medium-sized homes.
It can also be employed in dry sweeping mode, which can clean up to 1,000 sq. ft. on a single battery charge. It's also able to draw your floor plan using the iRobot app, and can clean rooms in a series using compatible Roomba vacuums.
When it is used in wet mopping mode, the m6 employs a precise spray to dampen the floor in straight, efficient lines. It was fascinating to watch, and it was able remove even the most stubborn dried-in coffee and juice staining from my floors. It can be set to use less or more water than the maximum amount set in the app.
The iRobot App is among the most user-friendly applications on the market. It makes it easy to sync with your home's wifi. It's loaded with user-friendly functions such as scheduling, room partitioning and creating zones that don't allow you a precise control over your machine. It also lets you see how much battery power is left so that you can get an accurate estimate of how long it has left before needing to be docked and recharged. The m6 is available from My Robot Centre in the UK for $499, the iRobot store in the US for $399 and on Amazon (where it's currently being sold for $399). It is available in graphite and white.
5. Shark RV2610WA
There's no denying that vacuum and mop robots are a great way to keep your home spotless without having to lift a finger however they do come with hefty price tags. The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop with XL HEPA Self-Empty base, which we reviewed here costs $699 / PS559 / about $1054. If you don't need the charging base, it'll cost $549 /PS395 / approximately $775 AU.
Shark RV2610WA could be a great option for anyone who is looking for a machine that is versatile and can be used for both vacuuming as mopping. It can deep clean stains that are difficult to remove using the stain-lifting device included in the package. The app lets you schedule the machine to clean at a particular time and date. It also comes with an intelligent feature that allows you to control your robot while you're away.
As far as vacuuming goes it appears that the Shark performs well and can take care of most debris but it's not as impressive on carpets. It's easy for pet hair to be caught in the brushroll and its dirt bin can quickly fill up. There are a few parts that require regular maintenance and replacement. This can lead to regular costs.
There are better options on the market. The iRobot Combo J7 Plus offers superior performance on both carpets that are not bare and with a high pile. It's more sturdy, has an extra-large dustbin and can get over obstacles such as electrical cords with ease. The iRobot cleaner is more expensive, but worth it if you want an all-purpose vacuum that will do both tasks with ease.
