Look into a model that has Wi-Fi connectivity so you can create a map of your home and set up automated/set timers. You can also utilize features like vacuum switch or mop.
1. Roborock S7 Max Ultra
This high-powered robot vacuum and mop performs quite a bit of work. It cleans floors, detects rugs and automatically empties its own water and dustbin tanks. It has an impressive suction and even dispensing detergent. All of this functionality comes with a price tag of $1200. It's also the most expensive robot vacuum and mop package I've ever reviewed.
Out of the box, the S7 Max Ultra is very easy to install. When you plug it into the wall, it prompts you to map your home using sensors and will continue to use this information to avoid obstacles. In our tests it did not get stuck on power cords, long curtains, and even dog toys. self emptying robot vacuums 's not perfect, however, and sometimes ran into obstacles like tangled wires, the odd book or toy.
You can control the S7 Max Ultra via its smartphone application, and this is where you'll find all the sophisticated features that distinguish it from other robotic vacuums and mop machines. There are also specific room mopping and cleaning options as well as a schedule planner and power strength selections for mopping and vacuuming. You can also connect the S7 Max Ultra with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to create a smart home. The S7 Max Ultra's comprehensive feature set allows it to accomplish all the things a standard robot would do and more, but for a fraction of the price.
The S7 Max Ultra vacuuming is amazing. It did a fantastic job picking up pet fur, dirt and other particles, both on hard floors and carpets. The automatic feature for emptying the dustbin worked flawlessly during our tests, which was very reassuring. It also boasts 5100 Pa HyperForce power which is significantly greater than the 2,500Pa power of the S6MaxV and S7.
The S7 Max Ultra mopping performance was also good however it wasn't the most efficient. It utilized a microfiber mop that can absorb liquids and use sonic vibrating technology to scrub floors as high as 3000 revolutions per minute. This was faster than the X1 Omni circular pads which spin at 180 rotations per minute. The S7 Max Ultra’s ReactiveAI 2.0 obstruction recognition system is excellent. In our tests, it never got stuck on anything, and it avoided power cords, curtains, and other potential obstructions all the time.
2. Narwal Freo
Cleaning your floors and vacuuming is a chore that everyone dreads but is essential to maintain a clean home. It's a messy, often smelly job that can be difficult to complete because it involves dirty water, dustbins and the need to ensure that hair or debris does not clog brushes or traps. This is why vacuuming and mopping robots are becoming extremely popular. However, many of these devices still require you to manually empty the dust bin and wash and wash the mop pads. This can be a hassle particularly if you need to do this repeatedly during or after cleaning sessions. We're glad to see that certain manufacturers are introducing self emptying robots that make this task much more simple.
The Narwal Freo is the latest addition to this category of robotic cleaners and it has a plethora of new software, sensor, and hardware improvements engineered to keep it at the top of its class. The patented DirtSense Technology and the Smart-Swing feature both work to better identify the floor being cleaned, and automatically adjust the cleaning mode based on the floor type. The Freo also monitors dirt and automatically washes mops when they're full. This increases the efficiency of subsequent cleaning sessions because it doesn't return to areas that are soiled.
The Freo is also a step forward over its predecessor in that it is controlled directly by the touchscreen LCD at its base station. This is in addition to the smartphone app. This is the first robot vacuum and mop combo that has this feature. It's a great feature if you don't want to use the app. You can even alter the route in the middle of the session by using the LCD screen controls.
The Narwal Freo also does a good job of keeping its noise down when it is working and registering just 63dB when it is in suction mode. The Freo's maintenance isn't completely hands-free however. You will need to clean the main brush roll as well as the side brushes periodically.
3. Ecovacs Deebot T9+
The Ecovacs Deebot T9+ (available at The Good Guys for $1279) is among the most efficient self-emptying robot vacuum and mop combos available on the market. It is capable of mapping the area of your home, vacuuming and mopping, while spotting and avoiding obstacles. It can even release an air freshener.
It's easy to set up, utilizing the app to build an accurate map of your home that it utilizes to clean. You can then use the app to select specific rooms or custom areas to clean. You can also select the time you'd like it to start cleaning, so that your floors are kept clean even when you're away or asleep.
In our tests in our tests, the T9+ was extremely impressive in its ability to navigate obstacles. However, it does have the tendency to take a few errands around the house, which usually meant it ended returning to the exact place it had started cleaning a few minutes earlier. It wasn't a lot of times but enough to be noticed.
The T9+ comes complete with a range of accessories including the robot cleaner, a docking-station, and an automatic-emptying station. The mopping module and the dust bin replacement are available separately.
The improved navigation mapping, mapping, and obstacle detection systems are designed to keep your home tidy without interruptions. The upgraded 3D detection and obstacle avoidance technology recognises objects with high-precision resolutions to prevent collisions, entanglements or disruptions.

The disposable mopping pads are easy to attach, and the microfiber cloth efficiently captures dust, locks away stains and avoids leaving any residue. The large capacity 2.5L auto-empty station is able to hold up to 30 days of debris, without leaking, making it easy to keep your home tidy with little effort. The T9+ comes with an upgraded 3000Pa motor that provides powerful suction for the most thorough cleaning.
4. iRobot Combo j7+
The iRobot Combo j7+ is an excellent robot for cleaning floors. It's a mop and a vacuum, all in one, and it has both excellent obstacle avoidance and home navigation. It can identify your home and clean areas, without crashing into furniture or walls. It's also easy to use the app to create zones that need to be cleaned or those you want it to avoid, as well as set up specific no-mop or no-sweep areas.
IRobot's iAdapt technology 2.0 is a major component of what makes Combo j7and smart. This is a front camera that sits atop the majority of its robots to identify hazards, such as pet waste or power cords, and avoid them. iAdapt 2.0 also allows the Combo J7+ robot to detect dirt levels and focus more on those areas.
When the Combo J7+ detects it is on a floor that requires mopping, the robot arm equipped with mop pads lifts from beneath the vacuum. It then scrubs the floor until the mopping pad is dry which takes just 90 minutes.
The Combo J7+ can also detect carpeting, which is great for homes that have the combination of hard floors and rugs. It won't attempt to push through the rug it will rather back away if it feels it isn't able to cross the area without damaging itself or the carpet.
The Combo J7+ is simple to control via the mobile app that is user-friendly and well-designed. It is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa which means you can start cleaning with voice. The only downside I found was that the Combo j7+'s small water tank means you'll need to refill it often, or else limit its mopping to smaller areas and use eco-mode more frequently.
The Combo J7+ has a tiny dust bin that you must empty manually. I also found the Combo J7+'s mop pads to be less effective than those of other brands which is unfortunate as it's a great combination robot.
