1john 5:13 these things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the son of god. that they may know they have everlasting life.
2. suppose you were to die and stand before god and he were to ask you why should I let you into my heaven? what would you say?

Grace:
1. heaven is a free gift:
romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death but the gift of god is eternal life through Jesús christ
1. its not earned or deserved:
Ephesian 2:8:9 for by grace we are saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of god not of works lest any man should boast.

sin:
1: man is a sinner:
romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory or god
sin is anything that you say, imagine, do or don't do that doesn't please the lord.
1: man cannot save himself:
Matthew 5:48 be they perfect as your father in heaven is perfect.

god:
1: god is merciful- therefore doesn't want to push us
Jeremiah 31:3 i have loved you with an everlasting love
1john 4:8 god is love
1:god is just- therefore must punish sin
exodus 34:7/Ezekial 18:4 soul who sin must

Jesus Christ:
1: who is he? - fully god, fully man, creator and sustainer
john 1:1:14 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God./
john 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

john 20:28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”

1: what he did?- he died on the cross and rose from the dead to pay the penalty for our sins and purchase a place in heaven for us which he offers as a free gift.
Isaiah 53:6 And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant.

saving faith:
1:it is not mere head knowledge or now belief
James 2:19 the devil also believers and tremble

1: it is recognizing who Jesus is and trusting him alone for eternal life
acts 16:31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved you and your household.

commitment
1: dose this make sense to you?
2: would you like to receive the gift of eternal life?

clarification of commitment:
let me clarify this,
1: transfer trust from self to Christ
2: receive the resurrected and living Christ who indwells by his holy spirit (john 14:23)
3. acknowledge him as the only Saviour and lord
4. repent (I have been wrong and I will change my mind and live accordingly)
