10 Things We Are Hating About Best Robot Vacuum And Mop Self-Empty
Best Robot Vacuum and Mop With Self-Empting Bases

Self-emptying bases make robotic vacuums worth the money, especially for those who have large homes. This means you don't need to empty the bin more than once per run. It makes your floors more clean and it runs more often.

Its Lidar navigation does a great job of mapping, and you can use the app to set zones and cleaning schedules. But it didn't avoid obstacles like shoes or furniture legs, and neither did the j7 or Q Revo.

1. iRobot Combo J7+

The Combo J7+ is iRobot's first robot mop and vacuum. It takes the great iRobot J7 robotic vacuum, and adds a tiny water reservoir, a robotic arm that raises and lowers mopping pads, as well as some new sensors. The result is a highly capable two-in-one cleaner that we've found superior to non-mopping robot vacuums.

The Combo J7+ does not come with the features for smart mopping that our top pick does however, it cleans well. It comes with a powerful brush roll which works well on both hard floors and carpeted areas. It can fit between rugs and furniture without difficulty even on steep staircases. It has a powerful suction, which we found impressive, though it's not as powerful as the Roomba's 694 from iRobot.

What makes the Combo J7+ in a way from other robot vacuums is its mopping feature that utilizes an incredibly small rotating brush to scrub the floor. iRobot calls it SmartScrub, and it works by moving back and forth, similar to the way you scrub your floor using a mop. It can be turned on on a room-by-room basis within the iRobot app.

The j7 Plus is simple to set up and use as other iRobot Robots. It is also simple to maintain. The water tank and the dust bin are both movable, which means they're easy to clean. The iRobot app lets you view videos about how to maintain different components of the machine, such as replacing the mopping pads and filtering the dust bin.

The only issue is that the iRobot Combo J7+ only mops if it has a mopping pad attached and its 210ml water tank is fully filled. If one or the other is missing, it vacuums. The iRobot App allows you to monitor the water tank and receive alerts when it is low.

2. Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is a sturdy budget-friendly machine that is great for mopping and vacuuming. Its mopping performance, especially when compared to its cost, is quite impressive. It can be used to mop hard floors and carpets and picks up fine to extra-large debris (think hair tangles cereal, kitty litter of various sizes). It's also great for cleaning dried spills, messes and staining. It also cleans stairs and easy-to-get-stuck areas well.

The mopping system makes use of rotating pads to clean your floors and eliminate dirt and grime even from stuck-on areas. The pad also dries thoroughly by circulating 45 minutes of warm air following each cleaning, preventing the growth of mold and unpleasant smells. You can control the robot via the Roborock App or your voice to start mopping and change settings.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also top-of-the-line. robot vacuum auto empty features a powerful suction and high-efficiency filter that can handle small to massive debris effortlessly. The only issue is that it doesn’t work as well on carpets with pet hair. After two vacuuming sessions at maximum power, 10 percent of pet hair was still on the surface. This isn't unheard of.

The Q Revo has many advantages with its outstanding mopping and cleaning capabilities to its amazing navigation and obstacles avoidance. It's not as effective as the higher-end robot mop and vacuum, however it's a great choice for anyone who is on a budget. Plus, it charges up to 30% more than its predecessors and works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri Shortcuts. This is a lot of convenience for a small amount of money. For more information and to determine whether the Roborock Q Revo is the one for you, check out our full review.

3. Yeedi Cube

The Yeedi Cube vacuum/mop robot is extremely affordable and has many great features. The installation was simple and took just five minutes. After you have removed the protective tape and plastic, you can scan the QR code on the app to start. The app is simple to use and guides you through each step. Once it is set up, you are able to start mapping and cleaning.

The app allows you to customize your home's layout and create maps that the robot can follow. The app allows you to split rooms into smaller parts so that they can be targeted more specifically. You can create an outline of the kitchen and a different one for the living room. The robot will then sweep the floors at different times in each room.

As compared to other robots that I've tested, the Yeedi Cube has a unique design that gives it an industrial feel. The base station has a more modular design than other robots, featuring the tank for dirty water and an auto-empty feature on one end and the vacuum on the other. The mop pads that are reusable are also a separate feature. They fit into the top of robot and are connected to a handle at the front, making it easy to remove and refill.

The vacuum is as good as any robot I've ever tried, and it comes with two brushes on the sides instead of the single brush that is common on models. This expands the coverage of the vacuum, making it less likely to loose debris from furniture and walls. It isn't perfect in object recognition and is more likely to run into objects like the carpet with tassels in my office.

4. iRobot Braava Jet m6

The iRobot Braava Jet m6 is a capable robot mop that can do its job well and keeps your floors looking good every day. It isn't able to vacuum like other hybrids and cannot move from hard flooring to carpets or rugs. However, with its long battery life and intelligent mopping features, this robot is a great option for smaller and medium-sized homes.

It works in dry sweeping mode as well cleaning up to 1000 square feet on one charge. It can also map your floor plan using the iRobot app, and can clean rooms in a sequence using compatible Roomba vacuums.

When used in wet mopping mode, the m6 employs a precise spray to dampen the floor in straight and efficient lines. It's fascinating to watch and it was able to tackle even the toughest dried-in juice and coffee stain on my floors. It can be programmed to use less or more water than the maximum amount of water specified in the app.

The iRobot App is among the most user-friendly apps on the market. It makes it easy to sync with your home WiFi. It's packed with user-friendly features like scheduling, partitioning rooms and creating zones that don't allow you a precise control over your machine. It also lets you see how much battery power is left so that you get an accurate estimate of how much time it has left before needing to be docked and recharged. The m6 can be purchased at My Robot Centre for PS499 in the UK, at the iRobot Store in the US for just $399 and on Amazon (where the m6 is currently for sale). It's available in white and graphite.

5. Shark RV2610WA

There's no denying that robot vacuums and mops are a great method of keeping your home clean without lifting a finger however they do be expensive to purchase. The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop with XL HEPA Self-Empty base, which we've reviewed here costs $699 / PS559 / about $1054. If you don't want the charging base, it will still cost $549 / PS395 / roughly $775 AU.

The Shark RV2610WA is a great choice for those who require a robot that is able to handle both mopping and vacuuming. It can also deep clean stubborn stains using the stain-lifting device included in the box. The app lets you program the machine to clean your floors on a certain day and time, and it comes with an intelligent feature that allows you to control your robot even when you're not at home.

The Shark vacuum cleaner is good at cleaning and can take care of most debris. However, it's not as effective on carpets. It's easy for pet hair to get caught in the brushroll and its dirt bin will quickly fill up. It also has a variety of components that require regular maintenance and replacement, which can add up to recurring costs over time.

There are better options available on the market. The iRobot Combo J7 Plus, for example, offers much better performance on carpets with high pile and bare floors. It's built better, has a bigger dustbin and is able to maneuver around obstacles like electrical cords more easily. The iRobot is more expensive, but it's worth the extra expense if you require a cleaner that does both jobs effortlessly.
