Best Robot Vacuum and Mop With Self-Empting Bases
Self-emptying bases make the robot vacuum worthwhile particularly for those with big houses. This means that you don't have to empty the bin more than once every time you run. It makes your floors more clean and it runs more often.
Its Lidar navigation system does a fantastic job of mapping and you can make use of the app to set zones and cleaning schedules. It doesn't omit objects like furniture legs or shoes, as well as the Q Revo and J7.
1. iRobot Combo J7+
The Combo J7+ robot vacuum and mop is the first iRobot. It takes the excellent iRobot j7 robotic vacuum and adds a tiny reservoir of water, a robot arm that raises and lowers mopping pads, as well as some new sensors. The result is a highly powerful two-in-one cleaner, which we discovered to be superior to mopping-free robotic vacuums.
The Combo J7+ isn't equipped with the smart mopping features found in our top choice, but it still does an impressive job of cleaning. It has a powerful brush roll that is effective both on hard floors and carpeted areas. It's able to effortlessly slide between rugs and furniture even on staircases that are steep. And it has a strong suction that we were impressed with, even though it's not as powerful as the iRobot Roomba 694's.
The Combo j7+ is distinguished from other robot vacuums by its mopping feature that makes use of an oscillating brush to scrub floors. SmartScrub is the feature iRobot refers to, and it emulates the way a mop would scrub a floor. The iRobot App lets you enable it on an individual basis for each room.
Like other iRobot robots, the J7 Plus is incredibly simple to setup and use. It is also simple to maintain. The water tank and the dust bin are both removable, which means they're simple to clean. And the iRobot app lets you view videos about how to maintain different elements of the machine, including replacing the mopping pads or cleaning the dust bin.
The only drawback is that the iRobot Combo J7+ only mops if it has mopping pads attached and the 210 ml water tank is filled. It will only vacuum if one of these are not present. The iRobot App lets you monitor the tank's water level and send notifications when it is low.
2. Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is a solid, budget-friendly robot that's great for mopping and vacuuming. The mopping capabilities are impressive, especially considering the cost. It can be used to mop hard floors and carpets, picking up fine to large debris (think hair tangles kitty litter, cereal of various sizes). It also does an excellent job at cleaning up the dried stains and spills. It also cleans stairs and easy-to get-stuck places thoroughly.
The mopping system uses rotating pads to scrub your floors and get rid of dirt and grime, even from sunk-in areas. The pad also dries thoroughly with 45 minutes of warm air following each cleaning, preventing mold and unpleasant smells. You can easily control the robot using the Roborock app, or use your voice to get your mopping started, change settings, and more.
Its vacuuming is also top-notch. It features an impressive suction and a high-efficiency filters that remove small to large particles easily. The only drawback is that it doesn't work as well against pet hair on carpet. Ten percent of pet hair was still on the test surface after two vacuuming cycles at max power, though this isn't unusual in the vacuuming world.
The Q Revo is a fantastic product, thanks to its superior navigation and obstacles avoidance. It also has superb mopping and cleaning capabilities. It's not quite as good as a higher-end robot vacuum and mop however it's an excellent choice for those with a limited budget. Plus, it charges up to 30% more than the previous models and is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri Shortcuts. This provides a lot more convenience at a low cost. Read our full review of the Roborock Q Revo for more information and to determine if it's right for you.
3. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube vacuum/mop robot is inexpensive and comes with numerous great features. The set-up was simple and took just five minutes. After taking off the manufacturing tape and protective plastic scanning the QR code on the app starts you off. The app is easy to use and will guide you through each step. Once configured, the Cube is ready to start mapping and cleaning.
The app lets you create maps and customise the layout of your home. The app allows you to divide rooms into smaller sections to allow them to be targeted more precisely. For example, you can create a map of the kitchen area and another for the living room, allowing the robot to sweep the floors in each room at different times.
In comparison to other robots I've tested The Yeedi Cube has a unique design that gives it an industrial feel. The base station has more modularity than other robots, with the tank for dirty water and an auto-empty feature on one end and the vacuum on the other. The mop pad that is reusable is a separate item, slipping into the top of the robot and affixed to an handle on the front to make it easy to remove and refilling.
The vacuum performs as well as any other robot I've tried and comes with two brushes to the single brush in the majority of models. This increases the vacuum's coverage area and reduces the likelihood of debris being lost behind walls and furniture. It isn't perfect in recognition of objects and can be a target for objects such as the tassel carpet in my office.
4. iRobot Braava Jet m6
The iRobot Braava Jet m6 robot mop is an excellent choice for maintaining your hard flooring. It does a fantastic job and will keep them looking great. It cannot vacuum like the other hybrids and cannot transfer from hard floors to carpets or rugs. However, due to its long battery life and its smart mopping features, this robot is an excellent option for small and mid-sized houses.
It can be used in dry sweeping mode as well it can clean up to 1,000 square feet at one charge. It's also able to map your floor plan using the iRobot app, and can clean rooms in sequence with compatible Roomba vacuums.
In wet mopping, the m6 uses precise sprays to dilut the floors in straight lines. It's fascinating to watch, and it was able to take on even the toughest dried-in juice and coffee stains on my floors. It can be programmed to use less or more water than the maximum amount of water specified in the app.
The iRobot application is among the best on the market and makes syncing to your home wifi easy. It comes with user-friendly features such as scheduling, room partitioning and creating zones that don't allow you a precise control over your machine. You can also check how much power remains in the battery so you know how long before it needs to be docked or recharged. The m6 is available at My Robot Centre for PS499 in the UK, at the iRobot Store in the US for $399, and on Amazon (where the m6 is currently on sale). It's available in white and graphite.
5. Shark RV2610WA
The price of robotic vacuum and mop cleaners is a major problem. self cleaning robot vacuums are easy to use, but expensive. The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop with XL HEPA Self-Empty Base which we reviewed here costs $699 or PS559 or $1054. Forget the charging base and you'll still have to spend $549 or PS395 / around $775 AUD.
Shark RV2610WA could be a great choice for anyone looking for a machine that is flexible and able to do both vacuuming as well as mopping. It can also deep clean stains that are difficult to remove using the stain-lifting product included in the box. The app lets you program the machine to clean on a specific date and time, and it has an innovative feature that allows you to control your robot even when you're not at home.
The Shark vacuum cleaner is effective at vacuuming and can remove the majority of debris. However, it is not as efficient on carpets. It's easy to get pet hair caught up in the brushroll, and the dirt compartment can get stuffed quite quickly. There are a few parts that require regular maintenance and replacement. This can result in ongoing expenses.
There are better options available on the market. The iRobot Combo J7 Plus, for instance, provides better performance on carpets with a high pile as well as bare floors. It's better built and has a larger dust bin and is able to maneuver around obstacles like electrical cords with ease. The iRobot is more expensive, but it's well worth the extra expense if you require a cleaner that does both jobs effortlessly.
