Health-related problems and also road traffic lock-ups among older drivers in Norway -- A national, population-based, case-control research.
016)] in males, but only changes in MVPA in females [β -0.035 (95% CI -0.058; -0.011)]. In analyses of change over time, males who improved MVPA by 20-30 min per day showed significant improvements in cardiometabolic health over 4 yr. The magnitude of association was slightly stronger for MVPA in 10-min bouts than for MVPA accumulated in bouts of 1-min, especially in females.

MVPA is an important predictor of cardiometabolic health in early adulthood. Strategies to prevent declines in MVPA at this life stage are required to prevent deteriorating cardiometabolic health profiles.

Radiation workers are normally exposed to doses resulting from their day-to-day activities. Besides that, background radiation, such as radon, can contribute to the exposure rates. The radionuclide 222Rn is a noble gas belonging to the uranium series, and its indoor concentration in the air depends on the exhalation from surrounding soil and the exhalation from building materials. Radon exhaling from porous building materials containing high uranium concentrations can become a significant exposure factor in areas with limited ventilation. The objective of this study was to evaluate the 222Rn concentrations in the radiochemistry and radiometric laboratories in the nuclear reactor building of the Nuclear Reactor Center (CERPq) located in the Institute of Nuclear and Energy Research (IPEN), São Paulo, Brazil. Measurements were done using a Radon Gas Monitor, model RAD7, equipped with a solid-state alpha detector. A passive method (SSNTD) was also used, consisting of square pieces of C-39 foils (2.5 cm × 2.5 cmtion to ensure safety environments.
Social ties between health care workers may be an important driver of job satisfaction; however, research on this topic is limited.

We used social network methods to collect data describing two types of social ties, (a) instrumental ties (i.e., exchange of advice that enables work) and (b) expressive ties (i.e., exchange of social support), and related those ties to workers' job satisfaction.

We surveyed 456 clinicians and staff at 23 primary care practices about their social networks and workplace attitudes. We used multivariable linear regression to estimate the relationship between an individual's job satisfaction and two network properties (a) eigenvector centrality (a measure of the importance of an individual in a network) and (b) ego network density (a measure of the cohesiveness of an individual's network). We examined this relationship for both instrumental and expressive ties.

Individuals who were more central in the expressive network were less satisfied in their job, b = -0.40 (0.19), p < .05, whereas individuals who had denser instrumental networks were more satisfied in their job, b = 0.49 (0.21), p < .05.

Workplace relationships affect worker well-being. Centrality in an expressive network may require greater emotional labor, increasing workers' risk for job dissatisfaction. On the other hand, a dense instrumental network may promote job satisfaction by strengthening workers' access to full information, supporting competence and confidence.

Efforts to increase job satisfaction should consider both the positive and negative effects of social networks on workers' sense of well-being.

The objective of this scoping review is to identify and describe strategies and interventions aimed at fostering registered nurses' clinical leadership in any clinical setting, identify the theories and/or frameworks that guide registered nurses' clinical leadership development, and describe the types of research conducted on this topic.

Registered nurse clinical leaders may be defined as staff nurses in clinical settings who influence and coordinate patients, families, and health care team members for the purpose of integrating care for positive patient outcomes. KRpep-2d mw They have been described as expert clinicians, effective decision-makers, and relationship-focused professionals who build trust among patients, families, and health care colleagues to ensure the best possible patient care. Clinical nursing is the cornerstone of the nursing profession. Registered nurses' clinical leadership is considered critical to the health of clients and to the advancement of nursing practice. Hence, it is important to undersf.io/registration/46105-928-002.
Guidelines for low back pain (LBP) management recommend patient education and exercises. GLAD Back, a structured group-based patient-education exercise program for LBP, facilitates evidence-based care implementation. This study aimed to inform on the implementation processes, assessing clinician-related factors. Objectives were to describe profiles of implementers and nonimplementers by demographics, and responses to the tailored version of the Determinants of Implementation Behaviour Questionnaire (DIBQ-t) qualitatively explore clinician perspectives on implementation, and compare the results of the DIBQ-t with the interview data to evaluate their fit of integration for facilitators, barriers, and new insights.

A mixed-methods parallel design study was conducted. Physiotherapists and chiropractors, educated in the GLAD Back program, were asked to complete the DIBQ-t (measuring theoretical determinants of implementation) 6 months after their training. Implementers and nonimplementers of the program were ser positive or negative. Both groups reported high levels of knowledge and skills, indicating that training alone is insufficient for implementation.
To investigate the bacterial growth in the surgical face masks used by patients who received intravitreal injections and study the effect of povidone-iodine on the periocular area (PA) of masks.

Forty patients who attended for intravitreal injections were divided in those with less (<4h) and more (>4h) than 4 hours of mask use. Each group was divided depending on the application or not of povidone-iodine in the periocular area (PA) of the mask. Bacterial load was studied on PA and mouth area (MA) samples.

The bacterial load in the PA was higher in the >4h group compared with the <4h group (13.2 vs 48.75 Colony Forming Units/μL; p=0.03). The contamination in the PA significantly decreased after applying povidone-iodine in the >4h group (p=0.01). The use or not of povidone-iodine was strongly correlated to a positive culture (OR=9.0, p=0.00. CI 1.63-49.44).

Surgical face masks worn for more than 4 hours presents higher contamination in the PA than those with less use. Bacterial load in the PA is reduced with povidone-iodine on masks used for more than 4 hours.
