egy of these patients.The data about the incidence and risk factors for surgical site infections (SSIs) following total joint arthroplasty (TJA) in middle-income countries are still scant. The aim of this study was to assess the incidence and risk factors associated with 30-day SSIs following total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The study was conducted at the Clinic for Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, Clinical Center of Serbia (CCS) in Belgrade, from May 2016 to April 2018. All patients undergoing THA or TKA were followed throughout hospitalization until day 30 after discharge. Of the 1073 admitted patients, 459 had THA and 230 had TKA. The incidence rate of surgical site infections (SSIs) among the patients who underwent THA was 5.4%, which is 3.8 per 1000 postoperative patient-days, while the rate among those who had TKA was 4.8%, i.e., 3.4 per 1000 postoperative patient-days. Out of the 36 SSIs, 15 were deep and 21 were superficial incisional ones. Among the variables examined, the independent risk factors for SSIs after THA were the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score > 2 (RR = 3.17; 95% CI-1.26-8.02), smoking (RR = 3.14; 95% CI-1.26-7.82) and peripheral vascular disease (PVD) (RR = 6.09; 95% CI-2.35-15.77), and after TKA, only PVD (RR = 3.87; 95% CI-1.09-13.76) was the risk factor. Incidence rates of SSIs after arthroplasty are higher compared to reports from developed countries. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance infection prevention and control measures with strict control of modifiable risk factors.In this review the authors aimed to emphasize the practical value of nuclear expression of the mammary serine protease inhibitor (maspin), also known as serpin B5 protein, in colorectal carcinoma (CRC), from pre-malignant disorders to carcinogenesis and metastasis. As the role of maspin is controversial and not yet understood, the present update highlights the latest data revealed by literature which were filtrated through the daily experience of the authors, which was gained at microscopic examination of maspin expression in CRCs and other tumors for daily diagnosis. Data regarding the subcellular localization of maspin, in correlation with the microsatellite status, grade of tumor dedifferentiation, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) phenomenon of the tumor buds were presented with details. An original observation refers to the maspin capacity to mark the tumor cells which are "at the point of budding" that were previously considered as having "hybrid EMT phenotype". It refers to the transitional status of tumor cell that is between "epithelial status" and "mesenchymal status". The second original hypothesis highlights the possible role of maspin in dysregulating the intestinal microbiota, in patients with idiopathic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and inducing IBD-related CRC. The dynamic process of budding and EMT of tumor buds, possible mediated by maspin, needs further investigation and validation in many human CRC samples. The histological and molecular data reveal that synthesis of maspin-based therapeutics might represent a novel individualized therapeutic strategy for patients with CRC.COVID-19 has created significant challenges for higher education institutions and major disruptions in teaching and learning. To explore the psychological wellbeing of domestic and international university students during the COVID-19 pandemic, an online cross-sectional survey recruited 787 university students (18+ years) currently studying at an Australian university. In total, 86.8% reported that COVID-19 had significantly impacted their studies. Overall, 34.7% of students reported a sufficient level of wellbeing, while 33.8% showed low wellbeing and 31.5% very low wellbeing. Wellbeing was significantly higher in postgraduate students compared with undergraduate students. Thus, we aimed to evaluate the usefulness of a coproantigen enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) test in detecting Cryptosporidium spp. from fecal specimens. For this aim, we evaluated the performances of a commercial ELISA (CoproELISA Cryptosporidium kit, Savyon Diagnostics, Israel) for the detection of Cryptosporidium spp. in random clinical stool samples through a multicenter study. The sensitivity and specificity for coproantigen ELISA were 98.86% and 94.32%, respectively. The coproantigen ELISA results indicate that the simple, rapid, reliable, and standardized immunoassay test is sensitive and specific for routine diagnosis, and may be useful for large-scale epidemiological studies of cryptosporidiosis.Recent evidence has emphasized the importance of the early childhood years for developing lifelong physical activity patterns. As such, evidence-informed programs that create opportunities for young children to engage in physical activity are needed and education settings present an important context. This review aimed to identify strategies that are implemented by teachers to promote physical activity in early childhood education and care settings. This is a scoping review that followed the framework proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute. Searches were conducted using the databases of PubMed, SCOPUS, PsycINFO, SPORT Discus, ERIC and Web of Science for publications up to September 2020. From a total of 8974 articles, 19 were deemed eligible. Ten types of strategies, performed by teachers with the intention to improve physical activity-related primary outcomes, were identified. Physical activity promotion by teachers in early childhood settings is recommended to take a multi-strategy approach, in conjunction with professional development training opportunities and continuous follow-up support for teachers.
