Overall this study offers promising preliminary insights that RP incorporated with PTT can be further explored as an acceptable home diagnostic tool for diagnosing OSA in children.We isolated a novel Aquareovirus (hirame aquareovirus HAqRV) from Japanese flounder Paralichthys olivaceus suffering from reovirus-like infection. In electron microscopy, the spherical virion (75 nm in diameter) was observed with multi-layered capsid structure. The viral genome consisted of 11 segments and regions encoding 7 virion structural proteins and 5 non-structural proteins were predicted. The deduced amino acid sequences of those proteins were highly similar to those of the aquareoviruses. However, the similarity of complete genome sequence between the HAqRV and other aquareoviruses was less than 60%. Phylogenetic analyses based on the deduced amino acid sequences suggested that the HAqRV is not classified into the known species of Aquareovirus. Pathogenicity of HAqRV was clearly demonstrated in accordance with Koch's postulates by experimental infection using Japanese flounder. The results suggest that the HAqRV is a new Aquareovirus species which is highly virulent for the Japanese flounder at early life stages.Influenza A virus (IAV) infection alters lung epithelial cell metabolism in vitro by promoting a glycolytic shift. We hypothesized that this shift benefits the virus rather than the host and that inhibition of glycolysis would improve infection outcomes. A/WSN/33 IAV-inoculated C57BL/6 mice were treated daily from 1 day post-inoculation (d.p.i.) with 2-deoxy-d-glucose (2-DG) to inhibit glycolysis and with the pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase (PDK) inhibitor dichloroacetate (DCA) to promote flux through the TCA cycle. To block OXPHOS, mice were treated every other day from 1 d.p.i. with the Complex I inhibitor rotenone (ROT). 2-DG significantly decreased nocturnal activity, reduced respiratory exchange ratios, worsened hypoxemia, exacerbated lung dysfunction, and increased humoral inflammation at 6 d.p.i. DCA and ROT treatment normalized oxygenation and airway resistance and attenuated IAV-induced pulmonary edema, histopathology, and nitrotyrosine formation. None of the treatments altered viral replication. These data suggest that a shift to glycolysis is host-protective in influenza.While T cell immunity is an important component of the immune response to Zika virus (ZIKV) infection generally, the efficacy of these responses during pregnancy remains unknown. Here, we tested the capacity of CD8 lymphocytes to protect from secondary challenge in four macaques, two of which were depleted of CD8+ cells prior to rechallenge with a heterologous ZIKV isolate. The initial challenge during pregnancy produced transcriptional signatures suggesting complex patterns of immune modulation as well as neutralizing antibodies that persisted until rechallenge, which all animals efficiently controlled, demonstrating that the primary infection conferred adequate protection. The secondary challenge promoted activation of innate and adaptive immune cells, possibly suggesting a brief period of infection prior to clearance. These data confirm that ZIKV infection during pregnancy induces sufficient immunity to protect from a secondary challenge and suggest that this protection is not dependent on CD8 T cells.The inclusion of the smartphone in society has brought many advantages, but also disadvantages, such as nomophobia, considered as a digital disease generated by the excessive use of the smartphone. The general objective of the research is to know and analyse the prevalence of nomophobia among nursing students and knowing the influence of time to rest. The research design is descriptive, correlational, transversal and predictive with a quantitative research methodology. The sample consist of nursing students from the University of Granada (N = 880) in Spain. A descriptive analysis has been carried out, as well as a bivariate correlation of Pearson, the student T test and a multiple linear regression. The results show an average level of nomophobia among nursing students. Although the students can recognize that the use of the smartphone can reduce their rest period, mainly focused on the hours they spend sleeping, there is no significant relationship between the two facts, confirming also that the levels of nomophobia are significantly more related in those who claim not to have problems in their rest due to the use of the mobile phone. A large percentage of them claim to rest less time due to excessive use of their smartphone.
Patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) often present with gastric symptoms. Electrogastrography (EGG) can noninvasively assess gastric electric activity and may be useful for early PD diagnosis. The present study aimed to compare the efficacy of EGG in early PD diagnosis with those of

Thirty-seven untreated PD patients (mean age±SD, 66±8years; disease duration<3 years) and 20 healthy control subjects (68±6.9 years) were recruited. EGG and OSIT-J were performed in both groups, and MIBG scintigraphy in the PD group. EGG parameters were assessed in the preprandial and early and late postprandial segments using power spectrum analysis.
