The creation of a comprehensive resource determined by multi-level, high-throughput testing associated with MOFs with regard to CO/N2 separations.
Purpose A contour propagation study has been conducted to benchmark three algorithms for Deformable Image Registration (DIR) freely available online against well-established commercial solutions. Methods ElastiX, BRAINS and Plastimach, available as modules in the open source platform 3DSlicer, were tested as the recent AAPM Task group 132 guidelines proposes. The overlap of the DIR-mapped ROIs in four computational anthropomorphic phantoms was measured. To avoid bias every algorithm was left to run without any human interaction nor particular registration strategy. The accuracy of the algorithms was measured using the Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) and Mean Distance to Conformity (MDC) metrics. The registration quality was compared to the recommended geometrical accuracy suggested by AAPM TG132 and to the results of a large population-based study performed with commercial DIR solutions. Results The considered free-to-use DIR solutions generally meet acceptable accuracy and good overlap (DSC > 0.85). Mild failures (DSC 3 mm). The morphing capability of the tested algorithms equals those of commercial systems when the user interaction is avoided. Underperformances were detected only in cases where a specific registration strategy is mandatory to obtain a satisfying match. Conclusions All of the considered algorithms show performances not inferior to previously published data and have the potential to be good candidates for use in the clinical routine. The results and conclusions only apply to the considered phantoms and should not be considered to be generally applicable and extendable to patient cases. Background To evaluate the dimensionality and psychometric validity of the 11 DSM-5 criteria for 5 substance use disorders, with a focus on craving, and taking into account age, gender and psychiatric comorbidities in a French sample of subjects seeking addiction treatment. Methods This cross-sectional study, included participants with DSM-5 substance use disorders that sought treatment for at least one addiction from outpatient clinics. Diagnostic criteria were evaluated with the Mini international Neuropsychiatric Interview. In Current regular user (2 times per week), factor and 2-parameter IRT analysis was used to investigate the dimensionality and psychometric properties of the 11 DSM-5 SUD criteria. Differential Item and Test functioning (DIF and DTF) analysis were performed across sociodemographic characteristics and psychiatric disorders. Results 1359 participants (alcohol n = 787, opiates n = 131, cocaine n = 141, tobacco n = 1014, cannabis n = 504), were included (68% male; mean age 38.7). One-factor dimensionality was confirmed, except for tobacco. Craving criterion had the strongest factor loadings, lower difficulty (range, -1.29 to -0.67) and higher discrimination (range, 2.11-3.05), and no DIF compared to other criteria. The tobacco criteria set functioned differently by mood and anxiety disorders. Conclusions We confirmed the unidimensionality of the 11 SUD DSM-5 criteria and furthermore that craving was the most selective criterion because of its psychometric properties and no DIF compared to other criteria, regardless of the substance in this adult clinical sample. Unidimensionality of tobacco criteria was not confirmed, suggesting DSM-IV abuse criteria limitations as indicators of the construct.Digoxin is a cardiac glycoside used as drug in case of heart problems, including congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation or flutter, and certain cardiac arrhythmias. It has a very narrow therapeutic window of the medication. Digoxin is toxic substance with well known cardiotoxic effect. Infigratinib supplier In this work, pharmacology and toxicology of digoxin are summarized; Its pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, available acute toxicity data (different species, different administration routes) are summarized in this article. Moreover, its treatment side effect and human poisonings are thoroughly discussed. Finally, appropriate therapy regimen is proposed. As intracellular parasites, viruses co-opt the molecular machinery of the cells they infect in order to multiply and spread, and the extensiveness and effectiveness of this manipulation ultimately determine the outcome of the interaction between virus and host. Members of the Geminiviridae family, causal agents of devastating diseases in crops, encode only a handful of multifunctional, fast-evolving proteins, which efficiently target host proteins to re-wire plant development and physiology and enable replication and spread of the viral genome. In this review, we offer an overview of the different steps in the geminiviral invasion of the host plant, and explore the knowns and unknowns in geminivirus biology. The removal of pesticide residues in food by ultrasound has attracted more attention in recent years, and the formation of intermediate products may have some profound effects on the toxicity of treated food. Therefore, degradation of parathion methyl (PM) in bovine milk by ultrasonic treatment was studied in this paper. Results showed that the ultrasonic intensity and the initial concentration of PM had a significant effect on the degradation rate of PM (P less then 0.05). The maximum degradation rate of PM was 97.10%. Three transformation products were identified through UPLC-QTOF/MS analysis, and the oxidation pathway was proposed as the consequence of ultrasonication. Furthermore, according to Quantitative Structure Activity Relationship (QSAR) model prediction, the ecotoxicity of the transformation products may be higher than that of PM. These findings showed that although ultrasonic treatment can effectively degrade pesticide residues in food, it may also generate transformation products with the higher ecotoxicity.'Honeycrisp' is a popular apple cultivar because of its superior appearance and flavor. We investigated its aroma profiles and characteristic aroma. Whereas the aroma profiles of developing fruits were dominated by aldehydes, postharvest fruit accumulated abundant esters, alcohols, and sesquiterpenoids. Most of these components showed maxima at the fruit's climacteric peak. There were more types and higher contents of sesquiterpenoids, aldehydes, and esters in the fruit skin than in the pulp, while alcohol contents and types were comparable between the pulp and skin. Aroma extract dilution and gas chromatography-olfactometry analyses revealed that hexyl 2-methylbutyrate, α-farnesene, 1,3-octanediol, hexanal, (E)-2-hexenal, hexanol, butanol, and 2-methyl-butanol are the most potent odor compounds in 'Honeycrisp' apple. Aroma reconstruction and omission tests combined with sensory analyses suggested that hexyl 2-methylbutyrate is responsible for the strong fruity note of 'Honeycrisp' apple, and that other alcohols, aldehydes, and α-farnesene are essential for its background aroma notes.
