The objective of this study was to use a co-design process to develop video resources about immunotherapy to identify a) the key informational and supportive care needs of patients and family carers and b) topics clinicians recommended be addressed during pre-treatment nurse-led education.
Experience Based Co-design (EBCD) provided the framework for video development, to facilitate patient and carer involvement in every stage of research design and implementation, and video design and development.
Data were collected and used in four stages 1) qualitative interviews, 2) co-design workshop, 3) filming plan and 4) feedback and editing.
Thirty-ow available for patients and carers via YouTube, and provide education and support tailored to this groups' needs regarding ICI therapy for cancer.

We identified four themes that illustrate motivators of and barriers to information-seeking attitudes and emotions; knowledge; social environment; and demographic factors. We also elucidated information needs and collected participants' information sources.
This study£s empirical approach helps healthcare professionals to understand their patients' behaviors and wishes concerning information-seeking more concretely than theoretical models alone. To provide guidance on multilingual and language discordant healthcare communication.
We provide a critical reflection on common stumbling blocks to securing (professional) language support, as well as on the currently available solutions to language discordance in healthcare. We discuss issues pertaining to i) the assessment of the patient and healthcare professional's language proficiency, ii) the decision making on whether to seek language support, iii) the currently available options of language support and the development of skills that ensure their effective use, iv) the inclusion of professional interpreters in the interprofessional healthcare team, and v) the transition from single- to integrated language support solutions that allow for a more comprehensive approach to multilingual healthcare communication. We present a set of recommendations for good practice.
Understanding the needs, capabilities and shortcoming of the available language- support solutions and the implications arising from them can enable decision makers to make informed decisions that ensure the quality of communication and care. The integrated use of language-support solutions at different stages of care can create the conditions for effective communication, while promoting patient and family participation in the decision making process. Evidence-based interventions that can inform the implementation of solutions are required.

We aimed to study the effect of FB in the outcomes of critically-ill patients with cirrhosis.
Retrospective analysis of all adult consecutive admissions of patients with cirrhosis and organ failures to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Curry Cabral Hospital (Lisbon, Portugal) and University of Alberta Hospital (Edmonton, Canada) on 08/2013-08/2017. Primary exposure was FB at 3 and 7days post ICU admission. Primary endpoint was hospital mortality.
Amongst 333 patients, median age was 56years and 67.6% were men. Median MELD, APACHEII, CLIF-SOFA, and CLIF-C-ACLF scores on ICU admission were 27, 28, 14, and 54, respectively. ICU and hospital mortality rates were 33.0% and 49.2%, respectively. While median FB at 3days post ICU admission (+5.46l vs. +6.62l; P=0.74) was not associated with hospital mortality, higher median FB at 7days post ICU admission (+13.50l vs. +6.90l; P=0.036) was associated with higher hospital mortality. This association remained significant (OR 95%CI=1.04 [1.01;1.07] per each l) after adjustment for confounders (age, ascites, infection, lactate, and number of organ failures).
