0001) were statistically different between spine and general neurosurgeons. 54.7% of the surgeons were unfamiliar with ERAS in spine surgery. 63.7% considered ERAS as a progress; 36% declared to implement ERAS in their daily clinical practice. 1.7% reported ERAS as a decrease in the quality of management. 6.8% considered ERAS as not having an impact on patient care; 27.8% had no opinion. There were no differences in opinion on ERAS and its implementation between surgeons working in private and public hospitals. 69.5% of the spine surgeons considered ERAS having a positive impact on patient management, versus 55% of non-spine surgeons (p = 0.02). CONCLUSIONS Efforts are necessary to promote minimal invasive pre-, intra-, and postoperative workflow to improve patient management and reduce complications or side effects particularly adapted to spinal surgery. Specificities of spine patients, in terms of chronic pain, pre- and postoperative pain management, and psychological issues have to be considered.The annual symposium of the German Research Association for Bladder Carcinoma (DFBK) was organized on February 7th and 8th, 2020, in Düsseldorf. On the first day, eight international guest speakers invited by the DFBK and the Department of Urology of the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf presented the current state of research on bladder cancer (BC). Topics were genomic changes and molecular classification in non-muscle-invasive and muscle-invasive BC, prospects and limits of proteome technology in urine diagnostics, function of chromatin regulators in bladder carcinogenesis, cellular reactions to aneuploidy, organoid technology and biobanking, as well as novel aspects of immunotherapy for BC. The second day was dedicated to new results and ideas of the DFBK members on BC pathomechanisms, diagnostics and therapeutic approaches, and most importantly, discussions on the further development of collaborative projects. Kneeling is a demanding high-flexion activity. There have been many studies of kneeling kinematics using a plethora of implant designs but no comprehensive comparisons. Visualisation of contact patterns allows for quantification and comparison of knee kinematics. The aim of this systematic review was to determine whether there are any differences in the kinematics of kneeling as a function of TKR design. METHODS A search of the published literature identified 26 articles which were assessed for methodologic quality using the MINORS instrument. Contact patterns for different implant designs were compared at 90° and maximal flexion using quality-effects meta-analysis models. RESULTS Twenty-five different implants using six designs were reported. Most of the included studies had small-sample sizes, were non-consecutive, and did not have a direct comparison group. Only posterior-stabilised fixed-bearing and cruciate-retaining fixed-bearing designs had data for more than 200 participants. Meta-analyses revealed that bicruciate-stabilised fixed-bearing designs appeared to achieve more flexion and the cruciate-retaining rotating-platform design achieved the least, but both included single studies only. All designs demonstrated posterior-femoral translation and external rotation in kneeling, but posterior-stabilised designs were more posterior at maximal flexion when compared to cruciate retaining. However, the heterogeneity of the mean estimates was substantial, and therefore, firm conclusions about relative behaviour cannot be drawn. CONCLUSION The high heterogeneity may be due to a combination of variability in the kneeling activity and variations in implant geometry within each design category. There remains a need for a high-quality prospective comparative studies to directly compare designs using a common method. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE Systematic review and meta-analysis Level IV.PURPOSE The aim of this study was to propose and validate a new six-item topographical classification of knee bone marrow lesions in coronal MRI images, to provide an easy-to-use aid to describe their location in a more reproducible and accurate way. METHODS This study was conducted in four phases. The first was to do a literature search for methods of describing bone marrow lesions in MRI of the knee. The second was creation of a six-area topographic classification of bone marrow lesions in coronal MRI of the knee. The third phase was selection of cases with bone marrow lesions on knee MRI performed in a single hospital between January of 2017 and December of 2018. The fourth phase was categorization of the bone marrow lesions' location according to the new proposed classification by three independent examiners, two orthopedic surgeons and one radiologist. Patient's demographic data and associated lesions were collected. The inter-observer and intra-observer reliability of the proposed classification was then calculated. RESULTS MRI examination of 4000 patients were studied and in 520 patients a total of 666 bone marrow lesions were identified and their location classified using the new system. The inter-observer and intra-observer reliability analysis found a Fleiss' Kappa value of 0.96 (0.95-0.97) and 0.97 (0.96-0.97), respectively, confirming the high reproducibility of the proposed classification. CONCLUSIONS The proposed six-location classification of bone marrow lesions is highly reproducible and can help researchers develop studies and share information in a more accurate and reliable way. The correct classification of bone marrow lesions can lead to a more accurate description of this pathology and help clinicians to propose appropriate therapies for this group of patients. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE V.BACKGROUND Contrast-enhanced cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) is pivotal for evaluating chronic myocardial infarction (CMI). Concerns about safety of gadolinium-based contrast agents favour dose reduction. We assessed image quality of scar tissue in CMRs performed with different doses of gadobutrol in CMI patients. METHODS Informed consent was waived for this Ethics Committee-approved single-centre retrospective study. Consecutive contrast-enhanced CMRs from CMI patients were retrospectively analysed according to the administered gadobutrol dose (group A, 0.10 mmol/kg; group B, 0.15 mmol/kg; group C, 0.20 mmol/kg). We calculated the signal-to-noise ratio for scar tissue (SNRscar) and contrast-to-noise ratio between scar and either remote myocardium (CNRscar-rem) or blood (CNRscar-blood). RESULTS Of 79 CMRs from 79 patients, 22 belonged to group A, 26 to group B, and 31 to group C.
