This two-wave (1.5 years apart) longitudinal study examined the bidirectional relations between measures of executive function (EF; working memory, attention focusing, inhibitory control, and a comprehensive EF measure) and two types of English word-level reading (pseudoword reading and word reading) among 258 school-aged children (52.6% boys, age = 5.8-9.1 years, in 1st to 3rd grades at Wave 1) from Chinese American immigrant families. Cross-lagged panel analyses were conducted to test whether the four EF measures and English word-level reading proficiency predicted one another controlling for prior levels of EF or word reading, as well as demographic characteristics and children's English and Chinese language proficiency. We found a positive bidirectional association between the comprehensive EF measure and pseudoword reading. By contrast, although the comprehensive EF measure positively predicted word reading over time, word reading did not predict comprehensive EF. Additionally, both word reading and pseudoword reading positively predicted working memory over time. The results provided partial evidence that English word-level reading is bidirectionally related to EF among early elementary school-age dual language learners.The purpose of this research is to examine whether insurers have improved their economic performance through efficiency as a reaction to the prolonged period of low interest rates. The vertical facial growth pattern is one of the most important issue in the orthodontic diagnosis and treatment. Previous studies investigated the association between interdental bone thickness and facial divergence using mainly bidimensional analysis. this website When two-dimensional dental radiographic views are not sufficient for diagnosis and measurements, cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images should be used to assess the alveolar bone structure three-dimensionally and with high accuracy and reliability.The aim of the present study was to evaluate the correlation between alveolar bone thickness and facial divergence in young adults untreated patients using a three-dimensional method analysis with CBCT images.

Records of 30 untreated patients (mean age 16±2years) with Angle Class I and mild to moderate crowding were analyzed. Subjects were classified as hypodivergent (<39˚), normodivergent (41±2˚), and hyperdivergent (>43°). according to the inter-maxillary angle between the sagittal maxillary plane (ation and dehiscence.
Facial types were found to be correlated with alveolar bone thickness. The hyperdivergent subjects presented thinner alveolus bone in the anterior maxilla and at almost all sites in the mandible. Clinicians should be aware of the possibility of thin cortical bone plates in hyperdivergent patients, reducing antero-posterior movements to avoid fenestration and dehiscence.

Eighty class V cavities were confectioned in forty extracted molar teeth and restored with different combinations of resinous-based and bond system. They were divided into the following groups (G1) three-step etch-and-rinse adhesive system and methacrylate-based resin, (G2) two-step etch-and-rinse adhesive system and methacrylate-based resin, (G3) Filtek P-90 self-conditioning adhesive system and methacrylate-based resin, (G4) Adper SE Plus self-conditioning adhesive system and methacrylate-based resin, (G5) three-step etch-and-rinse adhesive system and silorane-based resin, (G6) two-step etch-and-rinse adhesive system and silorane-based resin, (G7) Filtek P-90 self-conditioning adhesive system and silorane-based resin, (G8) Adper SE Plus self-conditioning adhesive system and silorane-based resin.

Group 7 showed lower marginal leakage when compared with all other groups (p=0.001).

The results allows suggesting that silorane-based resinous system is adequate to promote more satisfactory marginal sealing than any other combination, since the system is combined with its own bond system.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the root and root canal morphology of mandibular first premolar among Saudi Arabian subpopulation in Aseer using CBCT.

Cone-beam computed tomography images of Mandibular first premolar were taken from 166 patients which were referred to Armed Forces Hospitals Southern Region (AFHSR), Khamis Mushayt, Asir region Saudi Arabia. All the images were assessed by two Evaluators (An Endodontist and a Radiologist). Inter-examiner reliability was determined and was assessed by KAPPA value.

The mandibular first premolar (n=216) distributed as 120 teeth in female and 96 teeth in male. Out of the 120 teeth examined in female groups one canal was is a challenge for clinician because of their frequent morphological and anatomical abnormalities. Proper knowledge about number of root canals and canal configuration is a key to success in Endodontic. There is a great variability in different population regarding the root canal configuration in mandibular pre-molars. However, most studies state the mandibular first premolar has one root canal. Also, the most prevalent type of root canal found was Type I vertucci.
