Emissions of ammonia (NH3), oxides of nitrogen (NOx; NO +NO2), and nitrous oxide (N2O) from biomass burning were quantified on a global scale for 2001 to 2015. Under the assumptions made in this study, the results indicate emissions of all species are projected to increase under both the RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5 climate scenarios. Implications This manuscript quantifies emissions of NH3, NOx, and N2O on a global scale from biomass burning from 2001-2015 then creates regression models to predict emissions based on climate change. Because reactive nitrogen emissions have such an important role in the global nitrogen cycle, changes in these emissions could lead to a number of health and environmental impacts.Few-Layers Graphene (FLG) are able to improve the performance of materials, due to their chemical-physical properties. Engineered amorphous silica nanoparticles (SiO2NPs) are among the most widespread nanomaterials (NMs) in the world. Such nanomaterials are two case studies of the research project 'NanoKey' that integrated the exposure assessment through personal measurements and sampling in the workplace, as described in the present work (part I), with the biomonitoring of exposed workers (reported in part II). Measurement campaigns were conducted according to OECD and WHO harmonized approach in two production sites. The set of instruments included real-time devices for high-resolution measurements at the nanoscale and time-integrated samplers for the off-line gravimetric analysis and chemical and morphological (SEM-EDS) characterization of exposure in order to identify the contribution of production compared to the background. Values of particle number concentration (PNC) and lung deposited surface area (LDSA) within the FLG production resulted higher than the background far field (FF), even if they are always similar to the near field (NF) ones the average diameter (Davg) during the production was higher than the NF background but always lower than the FF values. SEM-EDS analysis highlighted the presence of structures comparable to those produced. During the SiO2NPs production, the PBZ values showed PNC and LDSA levels higher than the background, with a decrease in the Davg probably due to NPs emission. SEM-EDS confirms the presence of rare silica nanoparticles. Since the exposure to airborne NMs cannot be excluded in both production sites, a prevention-through-design approach to mitigate the potential risk for workers has been recommended.Erenumab is a monoclonal antibody that mediates calcitonin-gene-related peptide (CGRP), a pro-inflammatory polypeptide implicated in migraine pathology, by targeting its receptor. To date, no clinical trial has evaluated combination therapy with both erenumab and onabotulinumtoxinA therapy for the treatment of chronic migraine. We conducted a retrospective chart review of 78 patients to investigate if the addition of erenumab to patients with chronic migraines receiving onabotulinumtoxinA had a decrease in their total monthly headache days (MHDs) and monthly migraine days (MMD). At baseline, while on onabotulinumtoxinA, mean MHDs were 22.5 ± 8.7 and mean MMDs were 15.8 ± 8.3, and 65 patients (83.3%) failed at least three preventative therapies. Onion seedlings were exposed to a
Cs gamma source at doses ranging from 0.1 to 10 grays (Gy). Responses of root and shoot length growth were studied 6 and 10 days after irradiation.

Our results showed inhibition of the root and shoot length growth 6 days after exposure at all doses, including the low dose - 0.1 Gy. At a later point in time (day 10), root and shoot inhibition was only observed after irradiation at high doses (above 5 Gy), and that suggested the occurrence of cell repair after irradiation at low doses. The results indicated that the length of seedling roots was more sensitive to gamma-irradiation than the shoot length.

The results of the study suggested that short-term gamma-irradiation of onion seedlings (absorbed doses of 0.1-10 Gy) caused inhibition of plant growth 6 and 10 days after irradiation.
