Castiel quickly swam through the icy ocean water with a group of sea lions, smiling as they barked with joy. The lions seemed to take him for one of them, nudging him with their snouts and placing small licks across his body, which where dotted with sparkling navy blue scales. Cas popped his head out of the water, climbing on a jagged rock. He looked up at the foggy cliff-side with curiosity, unable to see clearly with the grey clouds and mist, which he loved to hide in when he wanted to be alone. He jumped into the water and moved to the sand, running his finger through it with small swirls. He smiled softly when he finished what he made, unknowing of the human who had spotted him.As soon as Dean spotted the glistening scales out of the corner of his eyes, he immediately turned his gaze to the owner of said scales. Upon the sight, his mouth dropped open in awe. There were stories, of course. Lots of them. He'd heard more stories about these mythological creatures than he could count, there was no way this could be one. Sure enough, the scales dotting the body of the creature were something humans clearly didn't sport. Dean ducked behind the nearest boulder, just his head peeking above as he watched with wide eyes.
