ging may be a more sensitive method for measuring subtle cosmetic changes than global patient- or physician-reported assessments.
Quantitative 3D image-derived measures revealed comparable cosmetic outcomes with HF-WBI compared with CF-WBI. Our findings suggest that 3D surface imaging may be a more sensitive method for measuring subtle cosmetic changes than global patient- or physician-reported assessments.
Poor nutrition is highly implicated in the pathogenesis of cancer and affects the survival of patients during and after completion of definitive therapies. Mechanistic evidence accumulated over the last century now firmly places dysregulated cellular energetics within the emerging hallmarks of cancer. Nutritional intervention studies often aim to either enhance treatment effect or treat nutritional deficiencies that portend poor prognoses. Patients living within food priority areas have a high risk of nutritional need and are more likely to develop comorbidities, including diabetes, hypertension, renal disease, and cardiovascular risk factors. Unfortunately, there is currently a paucity of data analyzing the impact of food priority areas on cancer outcomes.

Therefore, we performed a review of the literature focusing on the molecular and clinical interplay of cancer and nutrition, the importance of clinical trials in elucidating how to intervene in this setting and the significance of including citizens who live in food priority areas in these future prospective studies.

Given the importance of nutrition as an emerging hallmark of cancer, further research must be aimed at directing the optimal nutrition strategy throughout oncologic treatments, including the supplementation of nutritious foods to those that are otherwise unable to attain them.

The use of radiation therapy as a component of combined-modality treatment in this setting is controversial. In this review, we describe the data in support of and against the use of radiation therapy for stage III and IV Hodgkin lymphoma. Specifically, we review the data for the use of radiation therapy in the consolidation and partial-response settings, including for patients with initial bulky disease. We also discuss the use of radiation therapy in the era of more modern systemic therapies, including checkpoint inhibitors and brentuximab vedotin.Diversifying the radiation oncology workforce is an urgent and unmet need. During the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) 2019 Annual Meeting, ASTRO's Committee on Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (CHEDI) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) collaborated on the ASTRO-NCI Diversity Symposium, entitled "Pathways for Recruiting and Retaining Women and Underrepresented Minority Clinicians and Physician Scientists Into the Radiation Oncology Workforce." Herein, we summarize the presented data and personal anecdotes with the goal of raising awareness of ongoing and future initiatives to improve recruitment and retention of underrepesented groups to radiation oncology. Common themes include the pivotal role of mentorship and standardized institutional practices - such as protected time and pay parity - as critical to achieving a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
This study aimed to report our initial experience with weekly tele-video "virtual" on-treatment visits (vOTVs), describe the logistics of implementation, report the results of patient and physician surveys, and discuss the barriers, limitations, and benefits of vOTVs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

vOTVs were piloted at 2 centers and within 1 week were expanded to 4 additional centers. Patients participating in vOTVs were surveyed about their satisfaction with vOTVs, the quality of vOTVs, and confidence in their physician's ability to manage their care through vOTVs, as well as their support of and preferences related to vOTVs. Participating physicians were surveyed about their comfort and satisfaction with vOTVs. Medical directors at nonparticipating centers within our network were surveyed regarding their reasoning for not using vOTVs.

In week 1, 72 of 81 patients between 2 pilot centers were seen using vOTVs. In week 2, 189 of 211 patients were seen using vOTVs at 6 centers. Patient satisfaction with a patient and physician satisfaction during this pandemic with similar efficiency to in-person on-treatment visits.
To describe the first reported case of combined hamartoma of the retina and retinal pigment epithelium (CHRRPE) associated with a remote choroidal neovascular membrane (CNVM).

A 19-month-old girl with a normal prenatal and infantile history presented with esotropia of the left eye. Fundus examination demonstrated a large, elevated, charcoal-colored lesion in the nasal equatorial retina. There was dragging of the nasal retinal vessels and a retinal fold, presumed to have resulted from nasal traction from the lesion. There was also subretinal hemorrhage in the peripapillary macula. Multimodal imaging demonstrated a peripapillary choroidal neovascular membrane (CNVM) underlying the retinal fold. There was no leakage within the tumor or secondary retinal neovascularization. Mivebresib Examination of the fellow eye was unremarkable. The patient was diagnosed with peripheral CHRRPE with associated peripapillary CNVM. She was treated with serial intravitreal bevacizumab to the affected eye which resulted in a reduction in leakage from the CNVM and resolution of the subretinal hemorrhage. The CHRRPE remained stable on follow-up.

Peripheral CHRRPE can rarely be associated with a remote CNVM.

To report a case of acute idiopathic blind spot enlargement syndrome (AIBSES) following influenza vaccination.

A 57-year old woman presented with a one-month history of photopsia, temporal visual field disturbance on the right eye, 11 days following the administration of the influenza virus vaccine. Visual acuity was 20/30, and color vision remained normal. Examination revealed mild venular dilation at the edge of the right optic disk and was otherwise unremarkable. Visual field testing revealed enlargement of the right physiological blind spot. Medical workup, including brain CT scan, brain MRI, RPR,
antibodies, Chest X-Ray, ANA, and PPD testing, was found within normal limits. Ancillary testing was compatible with an assessment of AIBSES secondary to influenza virus vaccination.

Although direct causation may not be absolutely established by a single report, our case suggests that the influenza virus vaccine may serve as an immunological trigger for some cases of AIBSES. Thoughtful vaccination history is of the utmost importance when evaluating patients with AIBSES, as it may help elucidate the underlying precipitating factor.
