Finally, multidisciplinary consultation is recommended for all patients with newly diagnosed localized muscle-invasive bladder cancer.
The GUROC consensus statements provide practical guidance to clinicians in areas of current controversy in the management of prostate and bladder cancer, and it is hoped that their implementation will contribute to improved outcomes in real-world practice and greater support of clinical trials.

Lever-drive propulsion options have been shown to increase wheeled mobility device efficiency while reducing physical strain on users. Despite these benefits, they have not been widely adopted for everyday use. Two novel lever-drive devices (RoScooter and RoTrike) provide an alternative to pushrim propulsion by using an integrated front-and-center push-pull lever mechanism. The objectives of this study were to assess the usability and performance of the lever-drive devices using both rehabilitation professional and user feedback. The study enrolled 17 rehabilitation professionals and 13 users who performed various mobility tasks to rate the performance of the RoScooter and RoTrike for ease of use, stability, safety, appearance, and comfort. Users were graded on their performance using a scoring system based on the Wheelchair Skills Test. Rehabilitation professionals suggested improvements in regard to adjustability, maneuverability, target population, and appearance, preferring the operations of the RoScooter to the RoTrike. Users reported that the devices were entertaining and easy to use, but improvements in adjustability, reversal methods, and operation options to appeal to a wider range of consumers are needed before lever-drive devices are suitable to replace or supplement current wheeled mobility devices. In this study, the researchers aimed to investigate the factors associated with loneliness and depressive symptoms among Indonesian older women. A secondary data analysis of the Indonesian Family Life Survey-5 was conducted. Data from 1233 women aged 60 years or above were analyzed using logistic regression. Results indicated fewer than one in five older women lived alone, half reported loneliness, and 16% reported depressive symptoms. P110δIN1 Living alone was significantly associated with loneliness and depressive symptoms. Different factors were associated with loneliness and depressive symptoms. Loneliness and depression were found to be independent constructs of older women living alone in Indonesia.
Take-home cancer drugs (THCDs) have become a standard treatment of many cancers. Robust guidelines have been developed for intravenous chemotherapy drugs, but few exist for THCDs with a focus on decentralized models. Hence, Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) established the Oncology Pharmacy Task Force (OPTF) to develop consensus-based recommendations on best practices for THCDs to ensure that patients receive safe, consistent, high-quality care in the community once they leave the cancer center/practice with a prescription.
The OPTF included 34 members with comprehensive representation. Guidance from leading authorities was extracted through literature review, thematically analyzed, and synthesized to develop 29 recommendations. The consensus process (> 70% agreement) included a three-step modified Delphi method followed by an extensive review process.
Sixteen recommendations were developed training and education for providers (2), drug access (1), prescribing (4), patient and family/caregiver eduility across multiple jurisdictions, including those with decentralized models. Unique aspects in a decentralized model include the need for two pharmacy professionals, with one doing cognitive verification of the script and the other dispensing the medication; moreover, they optimize interprofessional communication between community providers and the cancer center/practice health care team. The objective of this systematic review is to assess whether old people should be actively involved in activities related to meals to support quality of life, nutritional status and functional abilities related to meals. Two electronic databases Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews and the Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effectiveness were searched, supported by PubMed citation, snowball searches. Eleven primary studies were included. The quality was low. No studies assessed the effect on health-related quality of life. Three types of interventions to support activities related to meals were identified Meal-related activities to facilitate improved autonomy seemed to overall improve nutritional intake, physical and social function related to meals, plus mealtime coping. Interventions of encouragement and reinforcement by staff to facilitate independence in eating seemed to have beneficial effect on nutritional intake and physical function related to meals. Interventions using food preparation and cooking to support participation seemed to have beneficial effects on social function related to meals and mealtime coping. There is an urgent need for good quality, adequately powered studies in this area and among old people in all health care settings.Rapidly judging the number of objects in a scene is an important perceptual ability. Recent debates have centered on whether number perception is accomplished by dedicated mechanisms and, in particular, on whether number-adaptation aftereffects reflect adaptation of number per se or adaptation of related stimulus properties, such as density. Here, we report an adaptation experiment (N = 8) for which the predictions of number and density theories are diametrically opposed. We found that when a reference stimulus has higher density than an adaptation stimulus but contains fewer elements, adaptation reduces the perceived number of elements in the reference stimulus. This is consistent with number adaptation and inconsistent with density adaptation. Thus, number-adaptation aftereffects are more than a by-product of density adaptation When density and number are dissociated, adaptation effects are in the direction predicted by adaptation to number, not density.
