A nationwide prospective drug utilization review (DUR) for potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) in older adults was implemented in October 2015 in South Korea. We aimed to evaluate the effects of the DUR on reducing PIMs, in comparison with the PIMs defined using the Beers criteria that were not included in the DUR.

We divided the study period into a pre- and post-DUR period. The monthly percentage of patients or prescriptions with at least one PIM in the DUR or defined by the Beers criteria was calculated using national health insurance data. We evaluated the effect of the DUR on the prevalence of PIM use in older adults using an interrupted time series with segmented regression analysis.

The prevalence of older adults prescribed PIMs in the DUR decreased by 0.49% (95% confidence interval (CI) [-0.60, -0.37]) based on patient-based measures and, by 0.41% (95% CI [-0.58, -0.23]) based on prescription-based measure, immediately after DUR implementation. However, there were no statistically significant changes in trend. Further, the prevalence of PIMs based on the Beers criteria had no statistically significant changes in terms of either level or trend. After 12 months of DUR, there was a reduction of 11.5% (95% CI [2.6 20.4]) relative to the PIMs in Beers.

The implementation of a nationwide prospective DUR lowered the prescription of PIMs for older adults. On the other hand, PIMs that were not included were unchanged. Thus, it is worth considering expanding the DUR list to improve prescribing safety.

The Global School-based Health Survey showed that 20.6% of Indonesian students aged 13 to 17 years old were bullied. The proportion was lower than those reported from Southeast Asian countries (28.3% to 51.0%). School education was reported to contribute to the reduction of bullying, but no similar study has been done in Indonesia. This study aimed to explore the role of school-based education in preventing bullying in high schools in Indonesia.

In-depth interviews with principals and focus group discussions with teachers from five schools in Mataram City were conducted in 2018. Data were transcribed and analyzed using thematic analysis. Participant observations and document reviews were conducted to verify the data.

Seven themes emerged (i) Bullying as a problem, (ii) Causes of bullying, (iii) Effects of bullying, (iv) Curricular interventions, (v) Cultural interventions, (vi) Institutional interventions, and (vii) Challenges and recommendations regarding current interventions. Curricular interventionsrent interventions should be continued and must be modified to respond with societal changes.Strain engineering in perovskite oxides provides for dramatic control over material structure, phase, and properties, but is restricted by the discrete strain states produced by available high-quality substrates. Here, using the ferroelectric BaTiO3 , production of precisely strain-engineered, substrate-released nanoscale membranes is demonstrated via an epitaxial lift-off process that allows the high crystalline quality of films grown on substrates to be replicated. In turn, fine structural tuning is achieved using interlayer stress in symmetric trilayer oxide-metal/ferroelectric/oxide-metal structures fabricated from the released membranes. In devices integrated on silicon, the interlayer stress provides deterministic control of ordering temperature (from 75 to 425 °C) and releasing the substrate clamping is shown to dramatically impact ferroelectric switching and domain dynamics (including reducing coercive fields to less then 10 kV cm-1 and improving switching times to less then 5 ns for a 20 µm diameter capacitor in a 100-nm-thick film). In devices integrated on flexible polymers, enhanced room-temperature dielectric permittivity with large mechanical tunability (a 90% change upon ±0.1% strain application) is demonstrated. This approach paves the way toward the fabrication of ultrafast CMOS-compatible ferroelectric memories and ultrasensitive flexible nanosensor devices, and it may also be leveraged for the stabilization of novel phases and functionalities not achievable via direct epitaxial growth.
This research aims to present a general summary of researches on workplace incivility in nursing using bibliometric indicators.

Nurses regularly experience incivility from their working environment. GSK963 However, evidence shows that it has significant potential for harmful consequences, both in terms of their health and in terms of productivity. Therefore, nursing and hospital managers have a crucial role in creation and maintenance of civil behaviour.

This research reports on a bibliometric analysis using a systematic review of academic literature on workplace incivility in nursing. A search of Web of Science databases was performed, and a total of 269 abstracts were investigated. Calculation of bibliometric indicator was done in Excel, and tag clouds had been created in VOSviewer.

Nursing incivility literature is growing, and the United States contributed the largest number of papers. Studies have been carried out on nurses working in hospitals and nursing students in general. Topics are mainly focused on the organisational consequences of uncivil behaviour.

This study reveals that there are not enough studies on workplace incivility in nursing.

As a result obtained from this research, it especially recommends health care and nursing managers to research some risky groups and subject less studied yet.

Long-term treatment of myasthenia gravis (MG) includes symptomatic and course-modifying therapies that target the immune system. Recently, both intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and subcutaneous immunoglobulin (SCIG) have emerged as viable options for chronic therapy, considering the favourable safety-efficacy profile and possible immunosuppressant sparing properties. The aim was to investigate the outcomes of the long-term care of generalized MG with immunoglobulin (Ig).

This is a retrospective, repeated-measures design study. Charts of generalized MG patients, treated with IVIG/SCIG for at least 6months, from January 2015 to January 2020, were analysed. The primary outcome was the mean change in Myasthenia Gravis Impairment Index (MGII) after treatment with Ig, comparing baseline to IVIG and SCIG treatment periods. Secondary outcomes included the changes in pyridostigmine, immunosuppressive medications and patient-reported outcome 'percentage of normal' (0%-100%).

Thirty-four patients were treated with chronic Ig therapy (30 IVIG/SCIG, three SCIG, one IVIG).
