Determining the outcome regarding urban atmosphere and also green infrastructure in mind wellness: comes from the São Paulo Megacity Emotional Health Questionnaire.
High mercury (Hg) affects biochemical-physiological characteristics of plant leaves such as leaf chlorophyll, causing refractive discontinuity and modifications in leaf spectra. Furthermore, the hyperspectroscopy provides a potential tool for fast non-destructive estimation of leaf Hg. However, there are few studies that have investigated Hg for wetland plants via hyperspectral inversion. In this study, reeds (Phragmites australis) leaf Hg concentration and hyperspectra were measured under different soil Hg treatment. Hg-sensitive parameters were identified by basic spectral transformations and continuous wavelet transformation (CWT). Inversion models were developed using stepwise multiple linear regressions (SMLR), partial least square regression (PLSR), and random forest (RF) to estimate leaf Hg. The results indicated that CWT improved the correlation of hyperspectra and leaf Hg by 0.020-0.227, and R2 of the CWT-related model increased by 0.0557-0.2441. In addition, Hg-sensitive bands were predominant at 600-750 (visible region) and 1500-2300 nm (mid-infrared), and Hg might modify leaves spectra primarily by affecting chlorophyll and water contents. Of the studied models, SMLR using normalized transformation (NR) and CWT (NR-CWT-SMLR) model (R2 = 0.8594, RMSE = 0.0961) and RF using NR and CWT (NR-CWT-RF) model (R2 = 0.8560, RMSE = 0.1062) suited for leaf Hg inversion. For Hg content less then  1.0 mg kg-1, the former model was more reliable and accurate. This study provided a method for the estimation of Hg contamination in wetland plant and indicated that model-based hyperspectral inversion was feasible for fast and non-destructive monitoring. The present study aimed to investigate the possible mitigating effect of L-carnitine (LC) and/or α-tocopherol (Vit. E) administration against tilmicosin (TIL)-induced cardiotoxicity in rats. Fifty-six male albino rats were divided into seven groups according to LC, Vit. E, and/or TIL administration. Control, LC, and Vit. E groups were given saline, 150 mg LC/kg body weight (BW)/day and 100 mg Vit. E/kg BW/day, respectively, orally once daily for 15 days. The TIL group was administered saline orally once daily for 15 days and a single dose of TIL (75 mg/kg BW) subcutaneously (SC) on day 14 from the starting of the experimental period (15 days). The TIL-LC, TIL-Vit. E, and TIL-LC-Vit. E groups received 150 mg LC/kg BW/day, 100 mg Vit. E/kg BW/day, and 150 mg LC/kg BW pulse 100 mg Vit. E/kg BW, respectively, orally once daily for 15 days with TIL as described above. The results revealed that the administration of TIL significantly (P ≤ 0.05) raised serum activities of heart injury indicators, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), creatine kinase (CK), and CK-MB with substantial increase (P ≤ 0.05) in the cardiac contents of malondialdehyde (MDA) and decreased in antioxidants. The pathological changes appeared in the form of necrotic muscle fibers and massive inflammatory cellular infiltrations in the cardiac muscle and increased the caspase-3 immunohistochemical expression in the heart tissues as well. These changes were ameliorated by LC and/or Vit. E administration. In conclusion, supplementation of LC and/or Vit. E ameliorated the cardiotoxicity of the TIL SC injection in the rat.Green business initiatives have become a prime driving force towards sustainable development across the world. The economy of Bangladesh is now on a pick as she has been moving towards nearly hitting the target for becoming a middle-income economy by 2021, and for attaining so, the development of industrial sectors is unavoidable. The booming industrial sectors have been resulting in a massive depletion of natural resources, greenhouse gas erosion, and toxic waste disposal, which further can cause uncontrolled degradation of air, soil, and water. In this highly competitive world, like most other businesses, ready-made garment (RMG) firms are facing tremendous pressure for being more competitive and availing a decisive position towards the reduction of pollution and impacts of ecological footprint. This nation brings a new paradigm of doing business called green business (GB). Principles of green business compact with emerging approaches for producing, marketing, and disposing of the products, which maintain e some casual discussions with industry professionals in corporate social responsibility (CSR), environmental protectionist, sustainable development executives, and ecology-friendly performance officer to provide substantial assistance for focusing on the precise direction of foundation evaluation and synthesis. In contextualization of the intensification of green business strategy and environmental degradation, we proposed a framework to quantify the green business strategy with the view of gain competitive advantages across the RMG sectors in Bangladesh.Cr(VI) is a widely used chemical. Excessive Cr(VI) exposure not only causes inflammatory damage but also induces mitophagy. This study aimed to demonstrate the effect of Cr(VI) on inflammatory injury and mitophagy in chicken liver. A total of 120 Hyland Brown cockerels (1 day old) were randomly divided into four groups and orally treated with different Cr(VI) doses (10% median lethal dose, 6% median lethal dose, 2% median lethal dose, and 0% median lethal dose) daily for 45 days to explore the underlying mechanism. Results showed that excessive Cr(VI) increased tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin-6, and heat shock protein but decreased interferon-γ expression and adenosine triphosphate content in chicken liver. Cr(VI) significantly increased reactive oxygen species production, induced mitochondrial membrane potential collapse, and promoted autophagosome formation. Cr(VI) treatment also caused an increase in LC3-II, stimulated Parkin translocation, and inhibited the expression of p62/SQSTM1 and translocase of outer mitochondrial membrane 20. Therefore, excessive Cr(VI) caused inflammatory damage and mitophagy in chicken liver. This work aimed at using Little Egrets (Egretta garzetta), for the first time in Egypt, as a bioindicator of heavy metal contamination from three different Egyptian land use types (Qillin within Kafr El-Sheikh (S1, agricultural), Toukh within Qalyubia (S2, semi-rural area), and Abu Rawash within Giza (S3, urban)). Concentrations of aluminum (Al), barium (Ba), cobalt (Co), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), and zinc (Zn) were analyzed in liver and kidney samples of twenty-six adult Little Egrets collected from the three localities during winter 2018. Moreover, the study calculated the Metal Pollution Index (MPI) to highlight the health of the surrounding environment using birds' internal organs as a mirror. INC424 Results revealed that, throughout the three sampling sites, the total metal concentrations in liver samples exceeded that of the kidney, indicating that the liver is the target organ of metal accumulation. The Little Egret's liver was found to be the best-recommended organ to use in future biomonitoring of Cu, Zn, Fe, Mn, and Ni, whereas Al, Co, Cr, Ba, Pb, and Cd can be monitored in the kidney.
