The symptoms disappeared after a slight delay following the administration of prednisolone. Unlike vision loss, ptosis and diplopia are considered to be reversible and responsive to treatment. We herein report about a patient with distigmine bromide-induced cholinergic crisis complicated by a hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state (HHS). We later found that she had received distigmine bromide, which led to a diagnosis of cholinergic crisis.
