Healthy adults (n=310; age range 25-49 y) completed a 26-wk randomized controlled trial in which they consumed either 900 mg DHA/d and 270 mg EPA/d (DHA-rich oil), 360 mg DHA/d and 900 mg EPA/d (EPA-rich oil), or 3000 mg/d refined olive oil (placebo). Cognitive performance and memory consolidation were assessed via computerized cognitive test battery. PFC Hb oxygenation was measured using near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).

In this paper we present the planning, implementation and evalua-tion of a massive vaccination center in Lombardy - the largest Region in Italy and the most heavily hit by the pandemic. The massive hub of Novegro (Milan), managed by the Gruppo Ospedaliero San Donato, opened in April 2021. The Novegro mass-immunization model was developed building a la-yout based on the available scientific evidence, on comparative analysis with other existing models and on the experience of COVID-19 immunization delivery of Gruppo Ospedaliero San Donato. We propose a "vaccine islands" mass-immunization model, where 4 physicians and 2 nurses operate in each island, with up to 10 islands functioning at the same time, withzer vaccine (85.8%) and first doses (70.9%). The productivity was 10.5 vaccines/hour/vaccine station. Quality, efficiency and safety were boosted by ad-hoc personnel training, quality technical infrastructure and the presence of a shock room. Constant process monitoring allowed to identify and promptly tackle process pitfalls, including vaccine refusals (0.36%, below expectations) and post-vaccinations adverse reactions (0.4%). Understanding the level of awareness in adolescents on the value of vaccination is kay to developing a proper culture of prevention to counter vaccine hesitancy and the decrease in vaccination coverages.

The aim of the survey was to evaluate awareness, attitudes, opinions, skills and knowledge about vaccines in a group of Italian adolescents through a paper-and-pencil questionnaire.

The questionnaire was administered to adolescents who had appointments in two vaccination centers of the Public Health Authority of Latina (Latium, Italy), between August 2018 and January 2019.

In total, 391 forms were completed by teenagers (median age 16 years, 52% females), Results showed that 53% of participants were not aware of their vaccination status. Knowledge, assessed through questions about vaccines and preventable diseases, was generally poor. However, 89% of adolescents had a positive opinion about vaccinations. Spontaneous searches for vaccine information was low (28.7% had looked for information), despite the medium to high interest expressed. The participants usually sought information on vaccines on generic websites (52.8%) compared to getting information from paediatricians (20.4%) or other physicians (3.7%). However, participants recognized paediatricians/GPs (47%) and schools (46.2%) as the most reliable sources of information.

Findings are in agreement with previous published data and can be useful to school and health educators in order to teach adolescents about the value of prevention, providing them with the support necessary to improve their abilities and knowledge.

In this context of hazardous delays, the Prevention Department of Belluno (Italy) tested its resilience a simple and effective method of taking charge was implemented, by initially phoning to the positive case and imposing the isolation measure on him or her and later on proceeding with the conventional contact tracing.

A large amount of recent research has focused on the nature of immunity elicited by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection, particularly its robustness and the duration of protection it offers. Our study aimed at the longitudinal analysis of antibody presence, persistence and its trend over eight months in a group of 30 COVID-19 recovered patients who tested positive by real-time quantitative PCR for SARS-CoV-2 in the period 1-30 March 2020.
