I was so nervous for what I was away to do. I was away to meet my mum, my real life mum, it was one of my dreams but now I wish I didn't have a real mum just my adopted one.
It all started when I was about 4. I couldn't sleep and I could hear my mum and dad arguing. They did this every night almost so I was used to it but tonight it was different. Instead of their normal arguing about money and jobs and the house it was about me. My dad was shouting things like "She's only 4 and already she has inhaled enough smoke to last her a life time and who's fault it that? Yours. " I couldn't deal with all the screaming and shouting so I started crying but instead of one of them coming to comfort me they stayed where they were then I heard it. My mum screamed " I'm done" then I heard the front door slam shut then open again. I heard the engine of our car then the faint shouts from my dad trying to stop her then again the sound of the front door open and shut. My dad came up the stairs and sat down next to me. He picked me up and took me over to his room and he put me down on his bed. We both sat down in silence until my dad sat up strait
