er American Society of Anesthesia (ASA) scores, longer procedure durations, and the use of a greater number of blood transfusion units.This study revealed a low SSI rate following spinal surgery. We identified a history of hypertension, prolonged hospitalization, longer operative time, blood transfusion, and higher ASA score as risk factors for SSI in spine surgery in our population. As our findings are from a single institute, we believe that a national research collaboration among multiple disciplines should be performed to provide better estimates of SSI risk factors in our patient population.
In order to provide new evidence-based medical evidence for clinical treatment, we undertook a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the efficacy and safety of nicorandil prior to percutaneous coronary intervention in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients.
This systematic review and meta-analysis will be performed according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Two reviewers independently will search randomized controlled trials or observational studies about the treatment of nicorandil on AMI patients. Retrieved databases include Web of Science, ClinicalTrials.gov, Pubmed, Embase, and Cochrane Library. And retrieval time is limited from inception to June 2021. Key words are nicorandil, myocardial infarction, or similar expansion words without publication limitation. Biomechanical studies, in vitro studies, review articles, techniques, case reports, letters to the editor, and editorials are excluded.
The results of our review will be reported strictly following the PRISMA criteria and the review will add to the existing literature by showing compelling evidence and improved guidance in clinic settings.

Osteosarcoma is one of the most common primary bone tumour in children and young patients, and the third most common among adults. Its main treatment option is currently based on neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemoradiotherapy along with the lesion's surgical resection. The current study's primary aim is to examine the clinical therapeutic impacts of combined methotrexate, along with other chemotherapeutic agents to treat children and young adults suffering from osteosarcoma.
We will perform a comprehensive literature search in English database (PubMed, EMBASE, Cochran Library CINAHL, and PsycINFO) and Chinese database (Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP information database, Chinese Biomedical Database, and WanFang Database) with no language restriction from their inception to the search date. Additionally, two independent authors will screen the works of literature obtained from these databases, obtain information, and examine the risks of data included for the studies' bias. Furthermore, we intend to employ the Q statistics as well as I2 statistics to calculate heterogeneity among each study's analysis. Accordingly, we will utilize the funnel plots and Egger test to assess the possibility of publication bias where relevant.
The current study aims to provide significant information regarding the clinical therapeutic impacts of combines methotrexate along with other chemotherapeutic agents to treat children and young adults suffering from osteosarcoma.
The present study will generate compelling evidence of combined methotrexate as well as other chemotherapeutic agents for osteosarcoma among children and young adults. Also, it will provide clinical practice suggestions.
The study is founded upon published data. Therefore, there is no requirement for ethics approval.

The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy of combined opioids by comparing four regimens of patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) after cesarean section.Parturient patients who underwent elective or emergent cesarean section under combined spinal and epidural anesthesia from April 2013 to March 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. Based on PCEA, they were assigned to one of 4 groups local anesthetic alone (LA), epidural single morphine administration during surgery followed by local anesthetic alone (M), local anesthetic combined with fentanyl 10 μg/h (F10), or local anesthetic combined with fentanyl 20 μg/h (F20). The primary outcome was the number of PCEA boluses used. Secondary outcomes included the use of rescue analgesia, postoperative nausea and vomiting, and postoperative pruritus.A total of 250 parturients were analyzed. Whereas the number of PCEA boluses in the LA group was significantly higher than in the other combined opioid groups on the day of surgery and postoperative day 1 (LA 3pioid groups, the number was not significantly different. Ipatasertib inhibitor Significantly fewer patients in the F20 group required rescue analgesia on postoperative day 1 and 2 (25 and 55%) than those in the M (66 and 81%) and F10 (62 and 66%) groups (P less then .001 and P = .007, respectively). Postoperative nausea and vomiting and pruritus were significantly higher in the M group (P less then .008 and P = .024, respectively).The results of the present study suggest that local anesthetic alone after a single administration of morphine, or local anesthetic combined with fentanyl 10 μg/h would generally be adequate for PCEA, whereas local anesthetic combined with fentanyl 20 μg/h would be suitable for conventional epidural analgesia.
The immune checkpoint programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) plays a critical role in immune regulation. Recent studies have demonstrated functional PD-1 expression in peripheral sensory neurons, which contributes to neuronal excitability, pain, and opioid analgesia. However, the relationship between the expression of soluble programmed cell death-1(sPD-1) and cancer pain is controversial. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between sPD-1 expression level and cancer pain through meta-analysis.
Studies were selected from Pubmed, Web of science, Embase, Google Scholar, and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, and the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The standard mean difference (SMD) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated using the random-effect model or fixed-effect model to assess the association between sPD-1 expression level and cancer pain. All analyses were performed with the Stata 14 software.
