Different infrastructure, healthcare systems and access to medical supplies lead to different needs, treatment strategies and outcomes. A fundamental tool in a burn care provider's armamentarium is the use of different dressings. Several studies have investigated the question of the ideal burn dressing, but none could achieve a proper global perspective. With advanced dressings being on the rise, we conducted this study to get a global understanding of the actual use and idea of the ideal burn dressing.

Ballistic trauma of the face has aroused growing interest since the proliferation of conflicts in the world and particularly in the fight against terrorism. Their polymorphous and disfiguring character, their particular evolution and prognosis due to the ballistic aetiology, differentiate them from classic maxillofacial trauma. Tunisia did not escape this scourge after the revolution of 2011, and must therefore face the challenge of ballistic trauma in general and of the face in particular.

We conducted a descriptive retrospective study on 30 patients who were victims of ballistic trauma of the face in the otolaryngology and maxillofacial surgery and ophthalmology departments of the Main Military Hospital of Tunis during the period from January 2011 to April 2018. Our objective was to assess the prevalence of these traumas in Tunisia after the revolution, and to assess their clinical and therapeutic aspects.

Leprosy still represents a negleted public health problem in Brazil. Early and adequate treatment of leprosy, carried out in a primary health network is essential to reduce morbidity and sequelae.

To analyze the therapeutic management of leprosy patients referred from primary healthy services to a specialized service.

An analytical retrospective study using medical records and the Notifiable Diseases Information System. Patients diagnosed with leprosy, referred to a specialized outpatient clinic, between 2016 and 2017, in Goiás state, were included. The treatment carried out in the primary health services was compared to the Ministry of Health guidelines.

Two-hundred twenty-five leprosy patients were included, of whom 33.3% were referred by leprosy reactions, 27.1% by sequelae, and 10.2% by suspected recurrence or reinfection. Reviewing the therapeutic management, 123 (54.7%) were considered inadequate, 92 (40.9%) adequate, and 10 (4.4%) inconclusive. Of the 200 multibacillary patients, 39.5% had adequate management.
