Today was exciting, we woke up at 03:30 to cabin 4 and the toilets flooding from an empty pipe. Sea Rangers and professional crew worked really well together diagnosing the problem, using a chain of people to carry buckets of water overboard, then vacumming up the water from the forward transfer tank and bilges.
At 0715, we all woke up again to bid farewell to Koene and after goodbyes, he left for the Netherlands. We went back to bed briefly before beginning the day.
Today consisted of various activitites:
- Successful repairs to the forward transfer tank sensor by disassembling the tank, cleaning it and repairing a wire.
- Fresh repairs to cabin 3's sink pipe
- Cleaning the aft transfer tank so the sensor would stop giving false positives to the pump
- Lots of cleaning in preperations for the ships next voyage and the end of the season
- Meetings with Sanne to discuss end of season pay
