I think assuming what type of relationship I wanted with you to be of a certain kind was a mistake on your part. I did, and do see your emotional state, and would not go for any kind of relationship with you that you do not feel ready for, regardless of some encouraging metaphors like the throne thing or the fun of flirting.
I effectively tried to be a good-enough companion to you throughout our acquaintance, despite my attraction towards you and you being hung up on another guy. After all is said and done, however, once the event you had to attend with someone was through, your attitude towards me and what we have turned presumptuous and you chose to deliver how you felt about our brief acquaintance (and its future) through a text.
This started to sound too "i did all this and look how you treat me", so I will cut it short. I was never interested in the throne, as I knew there was none to begin with, not for the foreseeable future, anyways. I was just hoping the companionship, flirting, the attraction and, most importantly, the conversation, could continue for as long as it can.
However, as it appears you made up your mind on that front, all there is left to do for me is to say thanks, but no thanks to the polite offer of being friends, as you put it, simply due to logistical reason of you already having enough friends, and little time for another one.
