KGaA, Weinheim.OBJECTIVE To determine the difference in outcomes in patients who achieved or not the 2019 EULAR/ACR Criteria. METHODS Patients from the LUMINA cohort were included. For these analyses, we compared those patients who achieved the 2019 EULAR/ACR criteria any time during the follow-up to those who did not. The predefined outcomes were the last SLICC/ACR damage index (SDI) and survival. Univariable and multivariable negative binomial regression models were performed; adjustment models were based on a forward selection process. RESULTS Ninety-eight out of 640 patients never achieved the 2019 EULAR/ACR criteria. There was no difference in mean baseline SDI among the patients who did not achieve the criteria compared to those who did. Conversely, the mean SDI at last visit was lower for those who never achieved the criteria (1.2±1.7 vs. 2.0±2.3, p=0.0004). In the final adjusted model, the SDI score at last visit was 31% lower for them (p=0.0077). These patients were also more likely to survive, but this was not statistically significant. CONCLUSIONS In our cohort, patients who did not achieve the 2019 EULAR/ACR criteria accrued less damage, suggesting that these criteria could allow us to identify a subset of patients with more severe disease than previous criteria. All rights reserved.Photocatalytic fixation of nitrogen is a promising way regarding the green conversion of the solar light, which however has been substantially limited by the inefficient activation of nonpolar N≡N bond and the poor utilization of visible light. Herein, carbon nitride nanosheet composites with abundant nitrogen vacancies and strong plasmonic resonance absorption to the visible light have been fabricated through the combination of hydrogen treatment and loading of Au nanoparticles. The ammonia yield of 184 μmol g -1 and 93 μmol g -1 can be achieved without any sacrificial agent under the full-light and the visible-light irradiation, respectively. Especially, the visible-light activity is enhanced by 10 times with the help of Au. Combining the experimental result and the theoretic calculation, both of hydrogen treatment and Au loading help form nitrogen vacancies on carbon nitride nanosheets, which promote N 2 activation by enhancing the chemisorption. Meanwhile, the Au loading further improves the nitrogen reduction efficiency through charging the excited hot electrons formed from the surface plasmonic resonance to the adsorbed N 2 molecules. © 2020 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. In parallel, they represent one of the most well-studied insect groups in terms of chemical ecology. Longhorn beetle aggregation-sex pheromones are commonly used as trap lures for specific and generic surveillance programs at points of entry and may play a key role in determining the success or failure of exotic species establishment. An exotic species might be more likely to establish in a novel habitat if it relies on a pheromone channel that is different to that of native species active at the same time of year and day, allowing for unhindered mate location (i.e., pheromone-free space hypothesis). In this study, we first tested the attractiveness of single pheromone components (i.e., racemic 3-hydroxyhexan-2-one, racemic 3-hydroxyoctan-2-one, and syn-2,3-hexanediol), and their binary and tertiary combinations, to native and exotic longhorn beetle species in Canada and Italy. Second, we exploited trap catches to determine their seasonal flight activity. Third, we used pheromone-baited "timer traps" to determine longhorn beetle daily flight activity. The response to single pheromones and their combinations was mostly species specific but the combination of more than one pheromone component allowed catch of multiple species simultaneously in Italy. The response of the exotic species to pheromone components, coupled with results on seasonal and daily flight activity, provided partial support for the pheromone-free space hypothesis. This study aids in the understanding of longhorn beetle chemical ecology and confirms that pheromones can play a key role in longhorn beetle invasions. This article is protected by copyright.
