72±112%, respectively, p less then 0.001), during the Rest Week (98±66% vs. 42±79%, p less then 0.001) and at Post3 (115±82% vs. 28±78%, p=0.003). Glycogen content was reduced in both fiber types; but most pronounced in type I, which did not recover until the Rest Week (-15-29%, p≤0.001). Intramuscular macrophage numbers were increased by ~65% post-intervention, but no changes were observed in muscle neutrophils. We conclude that high-frequency BFRRE with sets performed till failure stresses both fiber types, with type I fibers being most affected.Modulation of movement velocity is necessary during daily life tasks, work, and sports activities. However, assessing motor unit behavior during muscle shortening and lengthening at different velocities is challenging. Elexacaftor CFTR modulator High-density surface electromyography (HD-sEMG) is an established method to identify and track motor unit behavior in isometric contractions. Therefore, we used this methodology to unravel the behavior of the same motor units in dynamic contractions at low contraction velocities. Velocity-related changes in tibialis anterior motor unit behavior during concentric and eccentric contractions at 10% and 25% maximum voluntary isometric contraction were assessed by decomposing HD-sEMG signals recorded from the tibialis anterior muscle of eleven healthy participants at 5°/s, 10°/s, and 20°/s. Motor units extracted from the dynamic contractions were tracked across different velocities at the same load levels. On average, 14 motor units/participant were matched across different velocities, showing specis at increasing velocities in two submaximal load levels. We demonstrate that concentric and eccentric contractions of the tibialis anterior muscle at slow velocities are achieved by specific motor unit rate coding strategies rather than distinct recruitment schemes. The integrated responses regulating cerebral blood flow are understudied in women, particularly in relation to potential regional differences. In this study, we compared dynamic cerebral autoregulation (dCA) and cerebrovascular reactivity to carbon dioxide (CVRco2) in the middle (MCA) and posterior cerebral arteries (PCA) in 11 young endurance-trained women (age, 25 ± 4 yr; maximal oxygen uptake, 48.1 ± 4.1 mL·kg-1·min-1). dCA was characterized using a multimodal approach including a sit-to-stand and a transfer function analysis (TFA) of forced blood pressure oscillations (repeated squat-stands executed at 0.05 Hz and 0.10 Hz). The hyperoxic rebreathing test was utilized to characterize CVRco2. Upon standing, the percent reduction in blood velocity per percent reduction in mean arterial pressure during initial orthostatic stress (0-15 s after sit-to-stand), the onset of the regulatory response, and the rate of regulation did not differ between MCA and PCA (all P > 0.05). There was an ANOVA effect of anatomica between the middle and posterior cerebral arteries of these young women.Eligibility of ventilated preterm rabbit model to investigate extreme pulmonary immaturity at birth transition is unknown. By extending this model to early saccular stage of fetal lung development, we evaluated efficacy in survival, lung maturation, and underlying mechanisms of contemporary perinatal therapies. Pregnant New Zealand White rabbit does were given dexamethasone (DEX), or sham injection as control (NDEX), 48 and 24 h before delivery at gestational age (GA) of 25-28 days. At birth, newborn rabbits were anesthetized and randomly allocated to four groups receiving either surfactant or nonsurfactant for both DEX and NDEX, and mechanically ventilated within low tidal volumes. Ranges of time to maintain survival rate ≥ 50% in GA 25-28 days were 59-136, 138-259, 173-288, and 437 to ≥600 min, respectively, each across the four groups. The benefits of DEX and/or surfactant for survival were more obvious in GA 25-26 days, as judged by improved lung mechanics, lower lung injury scores, higher lung surfactante. The usefulness of this model should be validated in future investigation of perinatal and neonatal morbidity and mortality at extremely preterm birth transition. With the imposition of the Movement Control Order (MCO) or lockdown due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, there are drastic changes in the movement and activity among Malaysians increased psychological distress due to perception of COVID-19 as a health threat, increased time spent with families, and decreased time away from home could either intensify relationship problems or draw families closer to each other. This study aimed to examine the perceived psychological distress and relationship quality among couples before and during MCO in Malaysia and factors predictive of participants' well-being. The Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21, Perceived Relationship Quality Component Inventory, and the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale were disseminated through the snowball sampling technique. The study found that the participants (N = 124) perceived significantly higher levels of depression, anxiety, and stress during MCO compared with before MCO. However, no significant differences between the couples were found before and during MCO in relationship quality, except in the trust subscale. Trust on the couple was higher during MCO. Multiple regression results showed that depression and stress predicted participants' well-being negatively during MCO. In contrast, total relationship quality, sexual relationship quality, satisfaction, and trust predicted participants' well-being positively.
Very little artificial intelligence (AI) work has been performed to investigate acetaminophen-associated hepatotoxicity. The objective of this study was to develop an AI algorithm for analyzing weighted features for toxic hepatitis after acetaminophen poisoning.

The medical records of 187 patients with acetaminophen poisoning treated at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital were reviewed. Patients were sorted into two groups according to their status of toxic hepatitis. A total of 40 clinical and laboratory features recorded on the first day of admission were selected for algorithm development. The random forest classifier (RFC) and logistic regression (LR) were used for artificial intelligence algorithm development.

The RFC-based AI model achieved the following results accuracy = 92.5 ± 2.6%; sensitivity = 100%; specificity = 60%; precision = 92.3 ± 3.4%; and F1 = 96.0 ± 1.8%. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) was approximately 0.98. The LR-based AI model achieved the following results accuracy = 92.
