It has been well studied that in many settings, ignorance of mismeasurement in variables usually results in biased estimation. In this paper, we consider the setting with a bivariate outcome vector which contains a continuous component and a binary component both subject to mismeasurement. We propose estimating equation approaches to handle measurement error in the continuous response and misclassification in the binary response simultaneously. The proposed estimators are consistent and robust to certain model misspecification, provided regularity conditions. Extensive simulation studies confirm that the proposed methods successfully correct the biases resulting from the error-in-variables under various settings. Clinical outcome was measured with the modified Rankin Scale at 90 days after stroke. To analyze the differences between groups, the Chi2 test was used for the qualitative variables.Results The sample size was 58 patients treated with thrombectomy by aspiration. We observed that the thrombectomy time determines the recanalization results; meanwhile, modified Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction is a predictor of modified Rankin Scale at discharge but not after 3 months. This required a concomitant shift in the way health workers communicated ART initiation messages. We provide insight into front-line ART initiation communication pre-national policy shift.Method The design of this study was exploratory with a case descriptive analysis of ART initiation in three clinics. To characterise their demographic profiles, we reviewed 134 randomly selected patient clinical folders of people who initiated ART at CD4 counts greater than the recommended standard. Further, we conducted 12 key informant interviews with health workers at these facilities and thematically analysed health workers' responses.Results The median age of patients initiating ART regardless of CD4 count (above the threshold level) was 33 years and most were women (73.9%), married (76.1%), and unemployed (48.5%). The median CD4 count of patients initiating outside guidelines was 566.5 cells/µl. A clinic-based sample of 30-64 year-olds with cerebral palsy was examined and stratified by motor impairment gross motor function classification system (GMFCS) I/II (
 = 79), GMFCS III (
 = 78), and GMFCS IV/V (
 = 137). sCr, which is influenced by muscle mass, was obtained and sCr-based eGFR was calculated using the Modification of Diet in Renal Disease (MDRD) and Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration (CKD-EPI) equations.

sCr was lower with increasing GMFCS. The opposite pattern was observed for eGFR GMFCS IV/V had significantly higher eGFR derived from MDRD compared to other GMFCS groups; GMFCS III had significantly higher eGFR compared to GMFCS I/II. The pattern was similar for CKD-EPI derived eGFR.

According to widely used clinical assessment methods for renal function, higher severity of cerebral palsy among adults is associated with better renal function, which is incongruent with their other biological systems.
