Survival of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer (PROC) patients is significantly shortened to around 12 months. Anlotinib is a new multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor. The goal of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of anlotinib in PROC patients.
PROC patients treated with anlotinib in Jiangsu Cancer Hospital between June 2018 to September 2019 were recruited. Most patients received an initial bolus of 12mg orally once daily on days 1-14 of a 21-day cycle (except one received a dose of 10mg and another one received a dose of 8mg orally once a day). The adverse events (AEs) and efficacy were analyzed by CTCAE 4.0 and RECIST 1.1.
Of all 15 enrolled patients, 12 patients received anlotinib as multi-line therapy and 3 patients received it as maintenance therapy. In the multi-line therapy group, eight patients received anlotinib monotherapy and four patients received anlotinib combined with chemotherapy. Ultimately, evaluation showed that one patient achieved partial response (PR), five patienr ovarian cancer patients with anlotinib.
Emerging researches have demonstrated that aberrantly expressed long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have great significance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) progression. The aim of this study was to explore the role of lncRNA AZIN1 antisense RNA 1 (AZIN1-AS1) in NSCLC and the related mechanism.
Expressions of AZIN1-AS1 and miR-513b-5p in NSCLC samples were detected by qRT-PCR. NSCLC cell lines (H1299 and HCC827) were used in vitro assays. CCK-8 assay, EdU assay, wound healing test and Transwell assay were carried out to test the biological influence of AZIN1-AS1 on NSCLC cells. Subcutaneous xenotransplanted tumor model and tail vein injection model were established to test the role of AZIN1-AS1 in vivo. Study the association of dietary habits and other indicators of lifestyle with dysglycemia in Saudi adults.
In a cross-sectional design, data were obtained from 1403 Saudi adults (⩾20 years), not previously diagnosed with diabetes. Demographics, lifestyle variables and dietary habits were obtained using a predesigned questionnaire. Fasting plasma glucose, glycated hemoglobin and 1-hour oral glucose tolerance test were used to identify dysglycemia. Regression analysis was performed to determine the associations of dietary factors and other indicators of lifestyle with dysglycemia.
A total 1075 adults (596 men, and 479 women) had normoglycemia, and 328 (195 men, and 133 women) had dysglycemia. Following adjustment for age, BMI and waist circumference, in men the weekly intake of 5 portions or more of red meat and Turkish coffee were associated with decreased odds of having dysglycemia odds ratio (OR) 0.444 (95% CI 0.223, 0.881;
= .02) and 0.387 (95% CI 0.202, 0.74;
= .004), respectively. In women, the intake of fresh juice 1 to 4 portions per week and 5 portions or more were associated with OR 0.603 (95% CI 0.369, 0.985;
= .043) and OR 0.511 (95% CI 0.279, 0.935;
= .029) decreased odds of having dysglycemia, respectively compared with women who did not drink fresh juice. The intake of 5 times or more per week of hibiscus drink was associated with increased odds of having dysglycemia, OR 5.551 (95% CI 1.576, 19.55,
= .008) compared with women not using such a drink. Other lifestyle factors were not associated with dysglycemia.

The expansions of labor-intensive investments in a developing countries, especially in textile production create a dusty work environment for workers, and those workers are from the low socio-economic group and need special safety concern.
This study was aimed at assessing the prevalence of respiratory symptoms and associated factors among textile factories workers in Bahir Dar, Amhara region, Ethiopia, 2015.
Institutional based cross-sectional study design was employed among randomly selected 384 textile workers using pre-tested interviewer-administered questionnaire. We stratified workers by their working section in the textile industries. Then the proportional numbers of workers were selected from each working section of the factory by using a random number generator. The identification number of workers from each factory was used for selection. The data were checked, coded, and entered to Epi-info Version 7 and exported to the Statistical Package for Social Science Version 20 for further analysis. Bthe multivariate analysis.

Modern healthcare is delivered by teams of multidisciplinary professionals. Conflicts have been widely reported between these professionals in Nigeria. Furthermore, the health system is frequently crippled by industrial actions by trade unions representing these professionals. This study aimed to shed light on the complexities of factors perceived to cause workplace conflicts, including the extent to which these are thought to link to industrial action.
Focus group discussions and in-depth interviews were conducted with nurses, doctors, and medical laboratory scientists who work in multiprofessional settings giving a total of 41 participants. Results were analyzed within the framework of the social identity theory.
The dominant themes that emerged as barriers to teamwork include professional hierarchy, role ambiguity, and poor communication. At the same time, the health sector leadership and remuneration were the main themes concerning industrial actions. The salience of professional identities was also demonstrated, providing a link between interprofessional conflict in the workplace and competitive industrial actions by trade unions representing health professionals.
