with 30-day mortality or 1-year infection-free survival, primary patency loss-free survival, reintervention-free survival, and all-cause mortality. The null results were confirmed in a propensity score-matched cohort. Conclusion IVDU history was uncommon among patients undergoing AV access creation at VQI centers and was not independently associated with major morbidity or mortality postoperatively. IVDU patients more often received grafts or autogenous access with anastomoses to basilic veins. Although these patients frequently have more comorbidities, IVDU should not deter AV access creation. Objective The optimal revascularization modality in secondary abdominal aorto-enteric fistula (SAEF) remains unclear in the literature. The purpose of this investigation was to determine the revascularization approach associated with the lowest morbidity and mortality using real-world data in patients with SAEF. Methods A retrospective, multi-institutional study of SAEF from 2002-2014 was performed using a standardized database. Baseline demographics, comorbidities, operative, and postoperative variables were recorded. The primary outcome was long-term mortality. Descriptive statistics, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, and univariate and multivariate analyses were performed. Results 182 patients at 34 institutions from 11 countries presented with SAEF during the study period (median age 72 years; 79% male). The initial aortic procedures that resulted in SAEF were 138 surgical grafts (76%) and 42 endografts (23%) with 2 unknown. 102 of the SAEF (56%) underwent complete excision of infected aortic graft materiale duration of antibiotic use (HR 0.92, 95% CI 0.86-0.98; p = 0.01) and rifampin use at time of discharge (HR 0.20, 0.05-0.86, p = 0.03) independently decreased mortality. Conclusions These data suggest ISB does not offer a survival advantage compared to EAB and does not decrease the risk of postoperative aortic-related hemorrhage. Less than 50% of SAEF patients survive ten months after repair. Each week of antibiotic use decreases mortality by 8%. Further study with risk modeling are imperative for this population. Objectives Suprarenal aortic neck dilation following fEVAR with commercially available devices has not yet been well characterized. The aim of this study was to measure diameter changes in the supra-visceral aorta following fEVAR. Methods This is a single-center retrospective review involving patients with juxtarenal aneurysms treated with Cook ZFEN devices. Patients with at least one year of cross-sectional radiologic follow-up were included. Aortic neck dilation (AND) was defined as ≥3mm at any measured location. Aortic diameter, defined as the average outer-to-outer diameter on 3D center-line imaging, was measured at seven locations along the length of the ZFEN device from the proximal fixation struts to the bottom of the second seal stent. The first post-operative CT (≤1 month) served as a baseline from which subsequent measurements at annual intervals were compared. Results A total of 43 patients who underwent FEVAR from 2012 to 2018 met inclusion criteria, with a total of 119 target vessels (83 renal stis cohort was rare (n=1) and not associated with AND (p=.256). Conclusions Dilation of the suprarenal aorta is a common finding in mid-term follow-up after fEVAR and not associated with proximal endoleak. Aggressive device oversizing is predictive of dilation, whereas longer seal lengths are associated with less dilation along the suprarenal seal zone. These results support the continued use of fEVAR for juxtarenal aneurysms, particularly in patients in which ≥3cm of healthy seal length can be obtained.Covid-19 was first reported in Morocco on March 2, 2020. Since then, to prevent its propagation, the Moroccan government declared a state of health emergency. A set of rapid and strict countermeasures have taken, including locking down cities, limiting population's mobility and prohibiting almost all avoidable activities. In the present study, we attempted to evaluate the changes in levels of some air pollutants (mainly PM10, NO2 and SO2) in Salé city (North-Western Morocco) during the lockdown measures. In this context, a continuous measurement of PM10, SO2 and NO2 was carried before and during the Covid-19 lockdown period. As a consequence of the security measures and control actions undertaken, the emissions from vehicle exhaust and industrial production were significantly reduced, which contribute to the decrease in the concentrations of the studied pollutants. The obtained results showed that the difference between the concentrations recorded before and during the lockdown period were respectively 75%, 49% and 96% for PM10, SO2 and NO2. PM10 levels were much less reduced than NO2. The three-dimensional air mass backward trajectories, using the HYSPLIT model, demonstrated the benefits of PM10 local emission reductions related to the lockdown were overwhelmed by the contribution of long-range transported aerosols outside areas. In addition, noteworthy differences in the air mass back trajectories and the meteorology between these two periods were evidenced.Language disorder is a cardinal challenge for children with Down syndrome, and their learning capacity has been debated. The aim of the current study was to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of existing language interventions for children with Down syndrome to reveal knowledge about the effects of these interventions and identify any common characteristics specific to effective or ineffective interventions. A systematic search was conducted in databases relevant for education, speech and language therapy, and psychology. Based on a set of predefined inclusion criteria, the hits were screened and coded. Eight studies were synthesised in a systematic review and four in a meta-analysis. The overall effect of the interventions was large (g = 1.01), but significant transfer effects to untrained aspects of language were rarely found. BGJ398 datasheet Interventions showing significant effects varied with regards to numerous characteristics including the age of the target group, the intervention approach, the dosage, and the implementer.
