In this study, experimental measurements of the plastic particles wave-induced Lagrangian drift in intermediate water depth are presented investigating the influence of the wave conditions, particle size and density on the motion of relatively large plastic particles. A large influence of the particle density is observed causing particles to float or sink for relative densities lower and larger than water respectively. The measured net drift of the floating particles correlates well with theoretical solutions for particle Stokes drift, where the net drift is proportional to the square of the wave steepness. Floating particles remain at the free water surface because of buoyancy and no evidence of any other influence of particle inertia on the net drift is observed. Nonfloating particles move close to the bed with lower velocity magnitudes than the floating particles' motion at the free surface. Accordingly, this study comprehensively reviewed the U.S. literature on racial/ethnic disparities in mutual help participation among adults and adolescents with substance use disorder treatment need. The study identified 19 articles comparing mutual help participation across specific racial/ethnic minority groups and Whites, including eight national epidemiological studies and 11 treatment/community studies. Most compared Latinx and/or Black adults to White adults, and all but two analyzed 12-step participation, with others examining "self-help" attendance. Across studies, racial/ethnic comparisons yielded mostly null (N = 17) and mixed (N = 9) effects, though some findings were consistent with a racial/ethnic disparity (N = 6) or minority advantage (N = 3). Findings were weakly suggestive of disparities for Latinx populations (especially immigrants, women, and adolescents) as well as for Black women and adolescents. A descriptive study of a group of 343 childbearing teenagers out of 7020 childbearing women who gave birth in 2017-2018 is presented. The teenagers were evaluated by age, the number of pregnancies, birth complications, way of delivery, and place of origin. The involvement of the midwife was highlighted. From the total of 7020 analyzed cases, 4.8% (n=343) were teen pregnancies. Within this group, 4.37%(n=15)were already at the third birth and 89.79 (n=308)were un-investigated during the entire pregnancy. Sixty-eight point fifty-one percent (68.51%; n=235)of the teenagers gave birth with the aid of a midwife while 4.66 (n=16) gave birth with no medical attendance and experienced homebirth. All the teenagers that gave birth at home were from rural areas and not married. High teenage pregnancy rates are determined in Romania by the low level of information about sexuality and family planning at young ages. The description of neurological features in pediatric patients secondary to cefepime-induced encephalopathy has rarely been reported, often delaying diagnosis and treatment. We report a 13-year-old female with end-stage renal disease, maintained on hemodialysis, who developed acute neurological symptoms of aphasia, myoclonus, hallucinations, seizures, and altered mental status after two days of cefepime treatment. After prompt discontinuation of cefepime and urgent hemodialysis, the neurological symptoms were resolved. Our patient had complete neurological recovery within 24 hours of the initial presentation of neurological symptoms. Recognizing the possibility of encephalopathy related to cefepime administration in high-risk pediatric patients should prompt close neurological monitoring when under treatment.
