Intestine and also Endometrial Microbiome Dysbiosis: A New Emergent Risk Factor with regard to Endometrial Cancer malignancy.
Objective　The increasing aging population has increased the number of older people who need lifestyle support because of their declining mental and physical health. In recent years, it has become necessary to increase the number of residents who can provide lifestyle support. It is highly expected that older people, as local residents, will be keen to offer lifestyle support. This study identified the characteristics of older people willing to offer lifestyle support to other members of the community living in rural areas with heavy snowfall.Methods　We surveyed 801 people, aged 65 years and above, who lived in Yoshijima, Kawanishi town, Yamagata Prefecture, and were not certified in nursing care levels 1-5. A questionnaire was distributed and collected by the president of the neighborhood association and the head of the neighboring group. Data were collected from June to July 2018. The survey included items on basic attributes, health status, social relations with neighbors, and willingness to offer lifestylenviting their neighbors to gatherings and events," "accompanying their neighbors for shopping or serving as a substitute," and "pick-up and hospital visits." Further, except "helping with meal preparation/cleaning and laundry" and "performing outside work such as gardening or fieldwork," people with close relationships with their neighbors were significantly more willing to offer support.Conclusion　The characteristics of older people willing to support others depended on the type of lifestyle support required. This finding could help in the recruitment and facilitation of older people willing to offer lifestyle support.Objectives　This study elucidated the relationship between work and family conflicts of employees working in small and medium-sized businesses in Japan and its association with their lifestyle and working conditions.Methods　A self-report questionnaire survey was conducted with 294 employees of four small and medium-sized businesses that agreed to participate in the study. The survey included items on demographics, working conditions, lifestyle, the Japanese version of the multidimensional Work-Family Conflict Scale (WFCS), and subjective health and stress. Based on the scores of both the subscales of the WFCS, Work Interference with Family (WIF), and Family Interference with Work (FIW), participants were divided into two groups (high and low score groups). Using these scores as dependent variables, a logistic regression analysis was performed to examine factors related to the WIF and FIW.Results　Of the 227 collected responses, 185 responses with no missing values were determined as valid for the analysis. Part feel comfortable to take vacations. Additionally, it is necessary to deal with stress skillfully and improve mental and subjective health to reduce FIW.Bacteria can move or swim by flagella. On the other hand, the motile ability is not necessary to live at all. In laboratory, the flagella-deficient strains can grow just like the wild-type strains. The flagellum is assembled from more than 20 structural proteins and there are more than 50 genes including the structural genes to regulate or support the flagellar formation. The cost to construct the flagellum is so expensive. The fact that it evolved as a motor organ means even at such the large cost shows that the flagellum is essential for survival in natural condition. In this review, we would like to focus on the flagella-related researches conducted by the authors and the flagellar research on Vibrio spp.The structure of microtubules is essential for the fertilizing ability of spermatozoa. Acetylation of α-tubulin plays an important role in flagellar elongation and spermatozoa motility. Previous reports have suggested that alpha-tubulin N-acetyltransferase 1 (ATAT1) is the main acetyltransferase involved in the acetylation of α-tubulin. Although ATAT1 is reported to express in the testis, no information is available regarding its expression in elongated spermatids, epididymis, and mature spermatozoa. Hence, it remains unclear whether ATAT1 is involved in spermatozoa maturation and capacitation. Therefore, we evaluated the expression of ATAT1 in the mouse male reproductive system using immunostaining and western blotting. Our results showed that ATAT1 was expressed in spermatids during spermiogenesis in mouse testes, but its expression varied according to the seminiferous tubule stage. We observed ATAT1 in the cytoplasm of round spermatids, the flagella of elongated spermatids, and in the cytoplasm of step 16 spermatids, just before its release into the lumen. In addition, ATAT1 was expressed in epithelial cells of the epididymis. JH-RE-06 mw In spermatozoa of the cauda epididymis, ATAT1 expression was primarily observed in the midpiece of the spermatozoa. The localization of ATAT1 protein in the male germline was observed during spermiogenesis as well as during spermatozoa maturation. Our results suggest that ATAT1 may be involved in the formation of flagella and in the acetylation process, which has attracted attention in recent years regarding male infertility.Histiocytic sarcoma was investigated histopathologically and immunohistochemically in 17 four-toed hedgehogs (Atelerix albiventris), along with a review of their clinical data. Cases were histopathologically classified into two types round-polygonal cell type (6 cases) and spindle cell type (11 cases). Round-polygonal cell type was found in visceral organs such as the spleen, lymph nodes, and more, and most cases of this type were consistent with disseminated histiocytic sarcoma. On the other hand, spindle cell type occurred mainly in skin, and almost all cases were consistent with localized histiocytic sarcoma. The prognosis of patients with round-polygonal cell type appeared worse than that of spindle cell type. Immunohistochemically, neoplastic cells of spindle cell type showed stronger reactivity against human leukocyte antigen-DR than round-polygonal cell type. Neoplastic cells of all cases showed strong reactivity against ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule-1 (Iba-1) and various reactivities against cluster of differentiation (CD) 204.
