Dementia, a kind of acquired and progressive intelligence-damaging syndrome, is induced by cerebral dysfunction. Ancient records show that Qi Fu Yin (QFY) has the advantages in age-related dementia treatment. This study aims to evaluate therapeutic efficacy of QFY on dementia through meta-analysis.

We comprehensively reviewed articles from various databases, including China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, VIP, Chinese Biomedical Literature (CBM), PubMed, and Web of Science published before June 2020, for all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on dementia treatment with QFY. Then, we selected eligible literatures, extracted related data, and assessed risk of bias. Forest plots of total clinical effective rate, MMSE score, HDS score and ADL score illustrated the difference between the experimental group (treatment with QFY alone or combined with routine western medicine) and the control group (treatment with routine western medicine only). Random effects model and fixed effects model werof high quality are still needed to verify our conclusions.
QFY only or combined with western medicine therapy can significantly improve cognitive ability compared with only western medicine therapy in dementia. However, multiple samples, RCTs of high quality are still needed to verify our conclusions.
The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture therapy for elderly patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Relevant articles from December 2019 to December 2020 will be searched in the following electronic databases Medline, PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), China Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), and China Scientific Journals Database. All published randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and credible clinical observations about this topic will be included. Two independent researchers will operate article retrieval, duplication removing, screening and data analysis by EndNote X9.0 and Stata 15.0. Metabolism inhibitor We will use the Cochrane risk of bias tool for randomized trials to assess the risk of bias of included studies. Meta-analysis, subgroup analysis, and/or descriptive analysis will be performed according to the data conditions included.

High-quality synthesis and/or descriptive analysis of current evidence will be provided from mortality rate, cure rate, C-reactive protein (CRP), creatine, troponin, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, and improvements in chest CT scans, clinical symptoms (including fever, fatigue, cough, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea) and the side effects of acupuncture.

This study will provide evidence of whether acupuncture is an effective and safe intervention for the elderly with COVID-19.

Pregnant women with excessive gestational weight gain express an inflammatory status with multiple negative effects on birth outcomes. The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between gestational weight gain at different gestational ages and inflammatory status in pregnant women and their newborns assessing both interleukin 6 and 8, as well as hepcidin in these couples. Our study included 170 pregnant women and their newborns. Pregnant women were clinically assessed at the end of the 1st trimester and at term, whereas the newborns were assessed over the first 3 days of life. The levels of interleukin 6, 8 and hepcidin were measured in both pregnant women and their newborns. We noticed higher levels of interleukin 6, interleukin 8 and hepcidin in pregnant women at the time of delivery as compared to the end of the 1st trimester. We observed a direct significant correlation between gestational weight gain at the time of delivery and interleukin 8 in both mothers [r = 0.1834, 95% CI 0.0293-0.3290, ( 3 days of life. Our study underlined that a higher gestational weight gain resulted in a significantly higher birth weight [r = 0.2190, 95% CI 0.0663-0.3617, (P = .0041)].Our findings suggest that interleukin 8 might be an important indicator of inflammatory status in both mothers and newborns. Moreover, excessive gestational weight gain was associated with an increase in birth weight.
Recently, the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic has greatly threatened global public health. The responsibility of healthcare-associated infection control professionals (ICPs) is to prevent and control the nosocomial infections. The mental health status of ICPs deserves more attention, however, the correlational research is still lacking. This study aims to investigate the incidence and risk factors of mental health status among ICPs in China during the outbreak of COVID-19.A national cross-sectional survey was performed. The online questionnaire was completed by 9228 ICPs from 3776 hospitals throughout China. Data collection tools were used, including demographics data questionnaire, the Chinese version of the 12-item general health questionnaire (GHQ-12) and the Chinese version of the psychological capital questionnaire (PCQ) for medical staff. Univariate and multivariable analyses were conducted. The total score of mental health of Chinese ICPs was 3.45 ± 2.57. 5608 (60.77%) ICPs might have menof ICPs and help them get rid of psychological disorders.
20 years. Moreover, fewer working hours per week, higher values of hope, and optimism each were contributed to a lower risk.Chinese healthcare-associated ICPs were under different levels of mental health problems in fighting against COVID-19. More importantly, we should actively deal with the mental health problem of ICPs and help them get rid of psychological disorders.
