The present research aims to investigate the phytochemical analysis with in vitro, in vivo possibilities of the soluble ethanol extract of M. longipes root (EEMLR) and Q. gomeziana leaves (EEQGL) by an experimental approach. The plant extract of EEMLR and EEQGL was found secondary metabolites, notably steroids, glycosides, tannins, flavonoids, saponins, gums, and alkaloids. Additionally, the extract showed significant activity in antioxidant, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, membrane stabilization, cytotoxic, thrombolytic, and analgesic activities while no response in antibacterial activity. Our findings reveal that soluble ethanol extract of EEMLR and EEQGL is safe, which can be an effective source for exploring new medicinal products. This research's outcomes may provide potentials for mitigating pyrexia, inflammation, pain, cellular toxicity, and coagulation.This study examined the impact of different cooking methods on fatty acid (FAs) composition of shrimp meat and the ability of these foods to protect against high cholesterol (HC) diet-induced non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in rats. Shrimp were cooked for 10 min boiled, grilled, or fried in sunflower oil. Rats (n = 6/group) were fed a normal diet (ND)or high-cholesterol diet (HC) each containing boiled, grilled or fried shrimp powder (15% w/w) (NDBS, NDFS, NDGS for ND or HCBS, HCFS, HCDGS for HC diet). Frying alone significantly reduced total levels of saturated FAs (SFA) and increased total mono- and polyunsaturated FAs (MSFA, and PUFAs, respectively) in shrimp meat. It also increased levels of n-6 PUFAs and linoleic acid (LA) and decreased levels of n-3 PUFAs including eicosapentaenoic FAs (EPA) and docosahexaenoic fatty acid (DHA). When fed to HC rats, only diets containing the grilled and boiled shrimp powders significantly prevented the weight loss, lowered fasting and glucose levels, improved glucose and insulin tolerance, and prevented the increase in serum liver markers, ALT and AST. They also reduced hepatic fat accumulation, reduced serum levels and hepatic levels of cholesterol and triglycerides (TGs), reduced hepatic levels of MDA, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and IL-6, and increased those of glutathione (GSH) and superoxide dismutase (SOD). No alterations in all these parameters were observed in HC-fed rats which fed fried shrimp. In conclusion, boiling and grilling but not frying are the best method to cook shrimp to preserve their fatty acid content and its nutritional value in ameliorating NAFLD.The photodegradation of 2-chlorobenzoic acid (2-CBA) in suspensions of TiO2 was examined under different operational parameters. The optimal condition could be obtained through the experiment, i.e. that the concentration of 2-CBA was 30 mg/L and the dosing quantity of TiO2 was 0.01 g under UV light in the case of pH 3.5. Above reaction process was in accordance with first order kinetics model. The influence on photocatalytic degradation caused by typical anions in eutrophicated water body such as NO3 - and H2PO4 - was explored in this work, which revealed that both two anions had inhibitory effect on the degradation process. Novel anthraquinones (1a-1k) derivatives were synthesis via condensation method. The compounds were confirmed through FT-IR spectroscopy, 1H & 13C NMR spectrum, and mass spectral studies. The larvicidal activity of compound 1c was highly active LD50 20.92 µg/mL against Culex quinquefasciatus compared standard permethrin with LD50 25.49 µg/mL. Molecular docking studies were carried out for compound 1c against Odorant-binding protein of Culex quinquefasciatus. The compound 1c (-9.8 Kcal/mol) was a potent larvicide with more binding energy than control permethrin (-9.7 Kcal/mol). Therefore, compound (1c) may be more significant inhibitors of mosquito larvicidal.
