Our results suggested that both anterior (ACCF and ACAF) and posterior (LP, LC, and PDF) procedures have their strengths and weaknesses. Clinicians need to select the most appropriate surgery with a comprehensive consideration of the clinical condition of each patient with OPLL-related cervical spondylosis.

Many studies have evaluated the effect of maternal fever on the development risk of congenital heart diseases (CHDs) in offspring, but the findings were inconsistent. Furthermore, a complete overview of the existing data was also missing. Therefore, we intend to provide updated epidemiologic evidence to estimate the association between maternal fever and the risk of overall CHDs and specific CHD phenotypes in offspring.
Pubmed, Embase, and Web of Science were searched through March 2020 to identify eligible studies that assessed the association between maternal fever and CHDs risk in offspring. The summary risk estimates were calculated using random-effects models. Potential heterogeneity source was explored by subgroup analyses and potential publication bias was assessed by Begg funnel plots and Begg rank correlation test.
Sixteen studies involving 31,922 CHDs cases among 183,563 participants were included in this meta-analysis. Overall, mothers who had a fever experience during preconception and conce CHD phenotypes in offspring are still unreported, more research is needed to explore the possible mechanisms.
Membranous glomerulonephritis (MN) is the leading cause of nephrotic syndrome in adults and is classified as primary or secondary. Secondary MN accounts for 20% to 30% of all MN cases and can arise from a number of conditions, including autoimmune diseases. Recently exostosin 1/exostosin 2 (EXT1/EXT2) have been identified as the common antigens in secondary autoimmune MN and are present in cases of pure membranous lupus nephritis (LN). see more The treatment of EXT1/EXT2-associated MN remains elusive.
We present the case of a 15-year-old female who presented with nephrotic syndrome, positive ANA and dsDNA, and low serum complements. A renal biopsy revealed pure membranous nephritis with IgG and C3 deposition. EXT1 was found along the glomerular capillary walls and stained positive, while phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) and thrombospondin type-1 domain-containing 7A (THSD7A) were negative.
The patient was diagnosed with ETX1-associated membranous LN.
She was treated with prednisone and multiple low-dose rituximab (4 200 mg doses, approximately every 2 months, based on CD19+ cells counts).
The patient had complete remission within 8 months later, and she remained in remission for the 16-month period of follow-up.
To our knowledge, this is the first case of EXT1-associated MN that has been successfully treated by multiple low-dose rituximab. Further studies can investigate the optimal dosage and treatment protocol.

Assessing the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for chronic constipation in patients with diabetes mellitus is the main purpose of this systematic review protocol.
The following electronic databases will be searched from their respective inception dates to December 1st 2020 PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, World Science Net, the Allied and Complementary Medicine Database, the Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, the Chongqing VIP Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database and the Wanfang Database. All published randomized controlled trials in English or Chinese related to acupuncture for constipation in patient with diabetes mellitus will be included. The Bristol stool scale, spontaneous complete bowel movements, and observing symptoms (yes/no) including defecation feeling, defecation weakness, feeling of incomplete evacuation, bloating, and flatulence were considered as primary measures. The treatment efficiency consideration according to Bristol stool scale was considered as secondary measure. Two reviewers will conduct the study selection, data extraction and assessment independently. The assessment of risk of bias and data synthesis will be conducted with Review Manager Software (RevMan) V.5.2.
The results will provide a high-quality synthesis of current evidence for researchers in this subject area.
The conclusion of our study will provide an evidence to judge whether.Acupuncture is an effective intervention for chronic constipation in patients with diabetes mellitus.
Formal ethical approval is not necessary as the data cannot be individualized. The results of this protocol will be disseminated in a peer-reviewed journal or presented at relevant conferences.

Essential hypertension is the primary cause of death and disability and it has become a major public health problem globally. Yufeng Ningxin (YFNX) is a commonly used Chinese patent medicine in treating essential hypertension. The objective of this protocol is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of YFNX for the treatment of essential hypertension.
Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in relation to the effectiveness and safety of YFNX in the treatment of essential hypertension will be systematically searched and collected from the following databases PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, and Chinese Scientific Journal Database from the database inception to January 1, 2021. The data screening and extraction will be carried out by 2 different reviewers. The quality of randomized controlled trials will be assessed based on the version 2 of the risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials (RoB 2) in the Cochrane Handbook.
