Horcrux merupakan suatu objek yang digunakan penyihir hitam untuk menyimpan sebagian jiwanya

Mereka harus melakukan kejahatan yang paling kejam -yaitu pembunuhan. Lalu membungkus bagian jiwa tersebut ke dalam objek yang dipilih
Horcrux dapat dihancurkan. Cara untuk menghancurkannya memang sulit, tapi tidak mustahil
Kita harus membuat 'wadah' dari horcrux itu benar-benar hancur baik secara fisik maupun sihir
Ketika horcrux telah dihancurkan, wadahnya itu akan terlihat seperti 'berdarah', dan juga akan terdengar suara teriakan karena sebagian jiwa yang terdapat dalam wadah itu telah binasa
Belum diketahui sampai sekarang, apakah orang yang membuat horcrux akan merasakan sesuatu jika horcrux mereka telah dihancurkan
