Nama HufflePuff diambil dari sang pendiri Asrama sendiri, yaitu Helga HufflePuff. Dengan Pomona Sprout sebagai kepala asrama dan the Fat Friar sebagai hantu penjaga asrama.
Dengan warna kuning sebagai warna kebangsaan, menggambarkan suasana HufflePuff yang hangat dan pekerja keras. HufflePuff sendiri mewakili elemen tanah. Para Badgers adalah orang yang sabar, tekun, bertoleransi tinggi, loyal, sportif, pekerja keras, baik hati, dan tidak takut untuk bekerja keras. HufflePuff juga dikenal dengan keahlian dalam menemukan barang.
HufflePuff adalah tempat yang sangat menyenangkan!
Menurut saya profesor yang cocok masuk ke HufflePuff ada 3:
1. Tanaka Sensei.
Karena beliau sangat baik hati dan penyabar.
2. Prof Victoria
Karena beliau menyenangkan dan tidak jutek
