Buah Tomat dengan Nama latin solanum lycopersicum syn dan dengan nama latin lainnya, lycopersicum esculentum.
Buah tomat ini adalah adalah tumbuhan dari keluarga solanaceae, dimana Tomat ini buah yang berasal dari amerika selatan dan tengah, dari meksiko sampai peru.
Dari beberapa sumber banyak yang mengatakan buah tomat itu bagus untuk menambah darah.
Jenis jenis tomat:
-Tomat Granola
ini bentuknya bulat dengan pangkal buah mendatar dan mencakup yang biasanya di kenal sebagai tomat buah. Kenapa di sebut sebagai tomat buah? Karena, buah ini dapat di makan langsung tanpa di masak.
-Gondol ,
tomat gondol sering di gunakan sebagai saus dan gondol ini mempunyai bentuk lonjong seperti oval.
jenis gondol ini termasuk tomat buah juga.biasanya yang ditanam di indonesia adalah kultivar gondol hijau dan gondol putih dan keturunan dari kultivar impor roma.
-Tomat Sayur
Tomat ini bentuknya padat dan bisa dijadikan sebagai sayuran.
- Tomat Cherry.
Kenapa dinamakan tomat cherry? Karena tomatnya berbentuk seperti buah cherry dan rasanya manis.
tomat cherry ini berbentuk imut dan ada yang bilang rasa tomat ini manis.
jadi tomat ini di sebut juga tomat ceri atau tomat ranti yang berukuran mini dan tersusun berangkai pada tangkai buah yang panjang.
Buah ini sangat cocok untuk penderita anemia alias kekurangan darah.Bagi yang diet juga bagus jika memakan buat tomat.
