Makhluk ini meluncur dan melata di rawa-rawa. kebanyakan memangsa hewan-hewan mamalia kecil. kaki manusia yang melangkah melewati rawa-rawa itu bisa terluka parah akibat gigitannya. makanan kesukaan dugbog adalah mandrake.
