Bela diri Karate.
Beladiri yang berasal dari Japeng ini saya pilih karna merupakan bela diri yang saya geluti. Dibandingkan dengan Taekwondo menurut saya Karate lebih memiliki kekuatan. Karna baik tangan maupun kaki di pergunakan dengan sama kuat. Berbeda dengan Taekwondo yang lebih banyak bertumpu pada kekuatan kaki/tendangan.
Kelebihan:
1. Kode etik. Seperti berberapa motto dalam karate.
Karate-do wa rei ni hajimari, rei ni owaru koto wo wasuruna
Karate diawali dan diakhiri dengan sopan santun.
Karate ni sente nashi
Karate tidak mengenal sikap menyerang lebih dulu.
Karate wa gi no tasuke
Karate adalah sebuah pertolongan untuk keadilan
Mazu jiko wo shire, shikoshite tao wo shire
Pertama-tama kenali dirimu sendiri baru orang lain.
Gijutsu yori shinjutsu
Semangat lebih penting daripada teknik.
Dan lain-lain.
2. Bela diri mematikan.
3. Sering muncul pada pertandingan.
3. Tekhnik dan gerakan.
4. Membentuk sikap dan mental.
5. Sanggar/tempat latihan mudah ditemukan.
•Kekurangan.
1. Banyak yang mengatakan bahwa karate lemah pada tekhnik banting/kuncian.
2. Sistem pengajaran (jaman sekarang) yang hanya fokus pada 'kata' dan keindahan gerak.
